covered up tagging

Wow...purchased a new Jayco 5th wheel in October and now am settled in Florida for the winter. Looking at 1 slide and can see a poorly covered up attempt to conceal tagging on the unit. Unable to see in various lighting conditions but when just right, wow! Contacted Camping World in Denver where purchased and salesman claims he checked for any repair orders or invoices indication repairs were done at their facility but located none. We were told we should have said something at the walk through...had we noticed it you can believe we would have said something. photos included.

Try again on the photos. I would like to see what you are referring to?

Tagging as in graffiti? I'm not familiar with the term in an RV context.

Well that sucks. No way any of us would know that answer though. There are a few services like 'CarFax' for RV's out there now.. I have no idea if they capture every repair, but might be worth a look.

Is the siding fiberglass? How was the attempt to cover it made?

Kind of hard to comment without some info/ pictures.

Either dealer or delivery guy.

Yeah kinda sounds like the delivery guy may have got "tagged" at a truck stop and covered it up to avoid the long story. Sadly the drivers live in a catch22 where everything is their fault.

... and unless things have changed with the insurance since I was delivering, there is a $1,000 deductible (any damage, the driver pays for the first $1,000).

There is another post just like this with "Graffiti" in the topic line, do a search for it. I find it odd that a few of you are having the exact issue, I would def look into it knowing that! You all should compare pics and present them to make your case!

Grawe

Makes perfect sense. I know the lot where the OP bought his camper from, and store my camper at a storage place that they use for their overflow. Nobody in that lot has any graffiti on their camper, the storage place is locked up like a prison yard so it makes a lot more sense it happened between the factory, and CW. Bummer nobody caught it pre-delivery.
