Crack at lower front corner of bed slide.

I discovered the pictured crack at the lower front corner of the bed slide of my Eagle. Took it to the dealer today and he says it needs to go to the factory to be repaired correctly. I have an appointment for Aug. 8 and they will keep it for up to three weeks.

I have heard of others with this same complaint. I recall hearing that some gussets were left off in construction that caused it to flex more than normal. I had one on another rig, not Jayco and it ran about 1 inch then never got any longer.

I had it on both sides on the FLSA and the factory did an outstanding repair and said it will never happen again. They did say they added more bracing. Also on the 2016 the gooseneck overhang is shorter vs the 2015. Also if you look there is one screw that is right at the corner, my guess is that also aggravates the problem. When I got mine back the screw and trim piece are further forward as well.

If you look at other brands they cut the fiberglass vertically at that corner and put a trim piece over it.

So, I have an appointment to take my trailer into the Jayco factory on August 8th, per my dealer. I am planning what to do while we are out of our trailer for up to 3 weeks. One idea requires me to make reservations and put down a sizable down payment, some of it non refundable. I thought it would be a good idea to call the factory repair facility just to confirm my appointment and see if they could do a couple of other things while they have it. I called the factory last week three different times (days) and left messages on answering machines and never heard back. Is this typical of Jayco or is there something else in play here?

Signature shows a 2012, is the factory stepping up for the repair?

Are you stating this from experience or conjecture?

That is unknown at this time. My dealer is "working on it".

I called Jayco again today, one week later and got through to the service dept and a gentleman named Red. He couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating.

And he confirmed my reservation and agreed to do some extra work. I still don't know if warranty will help pay for some of the repair.

Same issue on my 2017 377 NorthPoint. Only had the unit 3 months.
