Designer Slideout Sequence

What is the reason that the slideouts have to be extended and retracted in a certain sequence? It's written on the labels by the switches. Does it have to do with weight?

On mine the carpet hangs up on the furniture on the opposing slide if you don't follow the posted sequence.

I agree. The curb side slide carpet slides under the street side slide when retracted. I have never tried it in the wrong sequence so I don't know for sure than it will cause a problem, but don't want to find out.

My carpet curls up against the furniture on the opposite side even when done in the correct sequence.

I asked my dealer and Jayco about it cause I thought some mechanical catastrophe would occur.
