Designer Water Pump Strainer

Please tell me how to locate and access the water pump strainer on a 2010 Designer. I want to see if it's got any stuff in it. It should easily unscrew correct?

My strainer is screwed into the inlet of the water pump. The strainer has a plastic bowl at the bottom that can be unscrewed, and a metal screen inside of the bowl that can be cleaned. Keep track of the gasket and be sure to replace it - hand tight should be tight enough for the plastic bowl.

RVhiker, thanks for the reply. I'm sorry to sound stupid, but where is the pump physically located? That's what I'm trying to find out.

Sorry, I can't help with where it is located on your RV. Maybe someone who has a similar RV can answer that. If you turn on the water pump you should be able to hear it when its pumping; maybe you can track it down by the sound.

find your pump... turn on your water and follow your ear... (Not hooked to city water)...

In my Designer, don't know which one you have, it is located on the left side of the basement area behind the water control panel. You have to remove the inside basement "wall" to get to it.

I use a whole home filter than filters everything coming in from the water line so my screen doesn't ever collect anything. It is a pain to have to remove that inside panel to get to it.
