Did your fiver come w/ a whole house filter

Just taken possession of a new 323lkts and can't find a filter. Tried dealer and Jayco and they say if it has one it's probably located..............??? Now I'm hearing it probably doesn't have one as only high end trailers and motor homes do. Interested to hear if yours do or don't. Thanks, rick

Some have a kitchen water filter only. It will be under the kitchen sink area. I don't use mine but added a whole house filter in the utility bay.

We purchased a 2016 Northpoint. It has a whole house filter which is located in the underbelly near where the controls are for the water filling system. Appears to just screw in, don't know yet since I haven't used the trailer.

We have a whole house filter and it's behind the water controls. I have to remove an access panel on the rear wall in the basement to access it.

In my Eagle it was located behind the docking station accessible from inside the storage compartment through a small access panel with four screws. I removed it and replaced it with an accumulator tank and added a drinking water only filter under the sink and spigot on the counter top.

That's where ours is also.

Remember: If you winterize at some point take the filter out and store where warm and empty the canister. Don't forget to put the filter back in (we put a new one in every year) when you de-winterize and go out again.

Thanks guys
My water pump is located behind the access panel in the basement but I didn't see a filter. I mixed the pump first time around so I'll have another look. Other wise I guess I'll buy an exterior filter, any recommendations? Thanks rick

Well I would ask how much you camp during a year and then how much you want to spend.

Check this page for choices of filters and softeners...this should help.

The TastePURE KDF/Carbon Water Filter, the blue one, (first one listed) has been popular for years and can be found at stores that carry camping supplies including Walmart.

Culligan RVF-10 Exterior Water Filter - Culligan 01019084 - Water Filtration - Camping World
Lots of RV'ers use an arrangement like this one. Filters are available most anywhere and are not expensive. I mounted mine in the water line inside the storage compartment but many use it as pictured as a outside hookup.

You can get a number of different filters depending on what you want.

Norty agree that is a good system.

Even see those with folks that have a built in house system. Is that overkill having the 2nd?

I have seen 3 of them hooked up in a milk crate, each with a different type canister. Kinda of overkill for me.

The reason is they were at a Thousand Trails in Texas with lots of impurities in the water.
Like red mud.

If your RV was new and you got a water filter wrench with the paperwork for all of the appliances etc you will have a filter hidden somewhere. Mine was behind an access panel. If my water pump had not quit working I may not have found it yet.
