It's not Camping World, but very close. CW in Hendersonville doesn't sell Jayco.

The dealer was trying to make extra money on my warranty claim. Jayco approved 12 hrs of labor and parts. The dealer himself told me it was a day to a day and a half job.
Now I'm in a situation where there is damage to my entry side wall from the dealers replacement of my awning (I didn't even ask for the repair). 10 of the 16 screws are stripped, no silicon around the screw holes and my fiberglass is starting to bubble. I notified the dealer 6 weeks ago about this issue with over 20 pictures. He hasn't submitted my pictures and won't return my phone calls. Jayco won't take the pics unless the dealer submits them.

This guy tried to get me to trade in my "damaged" camper for a $14,000 hit to his benefit. It sounds like Jayco is a better company than I originally thought, but my dealer is a shady individual.
How about small claims court? Make sure you have everything documented because they will try to lie their way out of it!

As many of us have said the dealer is usually the problem when warranty repairs go wrong.

I too have a 2016 29.5BHDS and just found what looks like a vertical line of "bubbles" on the exterior back wall. Only can see it in direct sunlight. I am also seeing some horizontal lines. I check my roof / seams often and am sick over this. Can you post a picture of your issue? Did you get resolution from Jayco on the walls? My dealership is 2.5 hours away so not easy getting over there. I have had General Trailer do some work but not exactly the best experience with them either.

I agree with Grumpy, Jayco is a good company. The challenge many have is with the dealer. Every warranty claim we have made with Jayco has been approved and our dealer has done a wonderful job of completing the work in a professional and thorough manner. If anyone intends to purchase a RV in the Las Vegas, Nevada area, I strongly recommend they consider Johnnie Walker RV. This is a family owned business. Many people we know in the valley grew up with Mr. Walker and speak highly of him and his family.

Curious. According to Jayco's website, it does.

Same here... We bought our Seneca from them, and regrettably the extended warranty from Good Sam - they have screwed us over multiple times. I now pay for any repairs from two private RV repair shops in the valley.

Well, I pulled my camper out of storage and rolled the awning out to find the serial number. The only one I found was the one on the front end of the tube that the awning rolls around. It was the sticker that came with the camper. I looked further for a brand name, logo, or serial number on the actual fabric and couldn't find one. I called the dealer (without identifying myself) and asked them how to find out where the fabric came from. They said a sticker comes with the new fabric and the installer places it over the old sticker. Is there any truth to this?

I think I'm going to call Jayco and see if I can get another repair facility to take care of me. I might just lick my wounds and pay someone to just make things right. After all of this, I don't trust that the dealer won't do more damage to my camper. Pretty frustrating after spending $38k on a fifthwheel.

Ours had a product manual for the awning (ours is Dometic) in a drawer when we bought it.

There are only a couple mfg for awnings. Look at different models and see if you can find one that matches what you have.

The awning material itself is a standard item. You can buy replacement fabric from a couple of mfgs. Basically all you need is width and length.

So, Miles RV.......I tried to buy my 5th Wheel from them. Really tried. Salesman treated me badly, and I was able to find the exact RV I wanted elsewhere for $8000 less. I offered them $2000 more than my quote from another dealer so i could buy local....They told me it wasn't worth their time to see it at that price and basically to shove off.

So, to help you out, I have used a few other local repair places with good results.
All I had to do was have them send the info into Jayco for approval before doing any work. I have voiced my displeasure to Jayco.

Affordable RV Repair (Just down the street form Miles RV) did good work, but took some time to get in.

RV Trailer and Motorhome Repair Inc. (Mobile Service) Very nice folks. Good work. Again, took some time to get an appointment as they are in demand.

Tennessee RV Exit 398 off of 40. Just past Pigeon Forge. A bit of a drive, but they did good work and were able to fit me in so I didn't miss trips when I had slide issues. They are a Jayco dealer. I didn't have to call Jayco to go here.

Hope this helps.

I called Jayco and I have to have all of my warranty work done at a Jayco dealer. The closest one to me (other than Miles RV) is in Knoxville TN or the CG in Hendersonville, but I'm not going there. But thanks for the information. I'll see if I can't give Jayco a little push in that direction.

Odd, I am here in Asheville, and Jayco has had no issue with me using other places, with prior approval to the quotes before work is done.

Tennessee RV is the one I mentioned above. They did good work. They list Knoxville as the address, but it is exit 398 off of I-40. Only 10 miles past the Severville exit, and not all the way into Knoxville. You do have to pull the gorge, though.

I think with Thor calling the shots now, a few things have changed. This seems to be a pretty recent policy change. I'll give TN RV a call and see if they can help me out.
Thanks for your help.

Couldn't agree more. I had a terrible experience with them. Ended up dealing with jayco direct. I've never been there, but there is another jayco dealer in greenwood, sc. Bit of a drive but might save you troubles down the road.

Just to be fair, I'm not sure exactly who to trust at this point. Jayco seems to be telling me one thing and the dealer another. They both seem to be telling the truth and I have caught both of them contradicting themselves. Maybe this is the new warranty tactic. Frustrate the snot out of the customer and they'll go away.

I absolutely believe this to be true in many industries (insurance claims for example). If even 5% of the people figure its not worth their time and just go away, they make $$$.

Took my camper to the dealer again today. It seems they did replace the awning fabric, but the faulty work on the awning frame lies on Jayco. Also, they found some rusty screws holding in the awning, some more rusty screws holding on the ladder (2 were broken and rusty) which means water has gotten in there. They spend 1.5 hrs looking on the roof for leaks and couldn't find any. Not sure what all of this means. I guess more of the waiting game for now. I know I'm flip flopping, but I feel the dealer is more on my side than Jayco at this point.

Not necessarily a leak. I've removed rusty screws that have been caused by condensation in the wall. Remember they're not built like a house with vapor barriers in the wall.
