Does new residental fridge have water connected?

Just purchased a new 2017 Eagle 317RLOK. It has the new residential fridge with ice maker and water in door. I cannot get any water to fridge. Maybe a silly question but should it have water connected to operate ice maker or is this just to have a larger fridge? Does anybody have the refrigerator?

I believe they have a shut off valve somewhere but I am not sure where

I found a valve in the same hidey hole that the pump is in that shut the water off to the residential fridge on my 383flfs, don't know how simular it might be in your camper, it was kinda hard to see, and thank goodness I've got long arms to reach in there to turn it. It was located in the baseman non door side right behind the docking station there was a panel that I took off, it was back in there.

Under the sink on the left side there is a valve. Most likely that is not open. When I got my 317RLOK I couldn't figure it out either. But then stumbled upon the shutoff valve under the sink. Hope that is your solution.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have checked under sink, behind docking station, and under stove. Guess I will have to call jayco. Do not think the dealer I used will have a clue. Don't know why jayco would put it so hard to find. If I get some answers I will post it.

I bet I looked under the sink 10 times and swore it was not under there, but it was. It was at floor level in the front left inside the door.

The ice maker water valve in my rig is located behind the bottom drawer closest to the fridge. I had to remove the drawer to get to it.

Just to clarify, when we say "under the sink" it means reach into the box that covers the pipes coming up from the floor. Reach WAY down deep to under the floor level.
That's where it is. If it's not there then Jayco forgot it. It happened recently to a member here.

Since there are lots of people on this thread with the residential fridge, what do you all think of it? We are getting ready to order either a 325BHQS or a 355MBQS and we are thinking of ordering it with the residential fridge. How well does it do traveling down the highway? Thanks

Definitely have to pay attention to product placement. First trip out resulted in a gallon of milk on the kitchen floor. If it wasn't in "the off the lot" camper I probably would not have ordered it, now if your full timing, or have a big family it would be great, but for short (1 week or less) trips there is a lot of unused space in there. This was my first time winterizing it and that was kinda a pita with the ice maker. But on a positive note I will never run out of beer with that much room.... My opinion

We've got the residential Frigidaire Gallery in our pinnacle. Wouldn't go back to rv type fridges. Great room and the winterizing is a snap. You just advance the icemaker with a gallon of antifreeze in the hose and it pulls it right in. Couple of glasses through the water in the door feature and you're done. I usually finish the rest of the winterizing, and leave a jug of antifreeze sitting in the pocket where the control panels are for winterizing and let it cycle a couple times after advancing the icemaker. The next few times it tries to drop ice it's pink slush.

The way we winterize is to set the heat pump on gas at its lowest setting.

DW wanted it but now wishes she had ordered the dual fridge. We can no longer pull over into truck stops or rest areas to sleep because the residential fridge will drain the battery (2 total) in about 4 hours. We do not have a generator either & still, it is not nice to run a generator in a rest area either. We have yet to fill the freezer but the fridge has been up to 3/4 full.

Probably not the best choice if you do a lot of boondocking. For folks like us that seasonal camp, the residential fridge is ideal.

I agree. It fits our needs perfectly. I might consider adding another bank of deep cycle batteries for the overnight stays.

Sounds like bad batteries or improper connection. JAYCO says 14/16 hours on two batteries. POSITIVE should be on 1 battery and NEGATIVE on the orher.

Also what's the difference, generator or semi's idiling?

Are you positive your truck is charging trailer batteries going down the road??

Something needs checked out.

Good Luck
