I had same kind of issue with mine. It was also hard to open. My solution was to move the striker plate outward. I believe that there is adjustment in the keypad bolt as well but I didn't need to go that far. (I think you loosen the 4 screws so you can move it away from the jamb a little)

I assume we are talking about the main entry door? If so, are you sure your problem is not with the screen door attached to the main door. I had a similar problem as described and upon close investigation, my problem was cause by the screen door. Once I adjusted it, the problem stopped

I notice my door tends to swell in the blazing afternoon sun and can be difficult to close. It's the rear door so I don't use it that much but I'll try to adjust the striker plate or file the edge a bit.

thanks ! found the problem ! I took apart the keyless entry and noticed that an inner spring was i little bit corroded and was making the pin hard to push inside the lock. Put some lube inside it and now is working fine.

Hope this makes sense , english is my second language

Have a nice day !

I had the same problem. I sprayed the mechanism with some silicone spray and now the door opens and closes easily.
