Dual a/c units.

We now have 2 a/c units on our 5er. Are both units ducted to all ducts or can you have different temps in different parts of the camper? Example: Can the bedroom be at 68 degrees and the living area be at 75 degrees? Thanks!

If you have 2 thermostats the answer would be obvious, but I am assuming that is not the case. I would suggest adjusting the supply registers to meet your needs. Throttle down the areas that you desire to be warmer. It will take some fine tuning but you'll git-er-done.

We do have 2 stats but the salesman told us the a/c ducts were not split and if one unit was running air would be coming out of all vents. Seems odd to me! Guess I will have to do some more reading on this!

Did you have the second unit installed seperately? Is it the bedroom unit you had added? On the RLQS Models the rear unit is normally the main unit that feeds the ducts. If the bedroom unit is added it normally only feeds the front bedroom and bath area and is controlled by its own thermostat.

Open the vents on the bedroom unit, i think the book calls them quick cool. The vents are on the A/C unit they slide to open, there are three to open. When these vents are open the air doesn't go into the vents.
You will Freeze when in the bed, I know (Love it too). Wife hates to have the upstairs unit running. The thermostate is at the closet. Hope this helps.
