I got one of the last 2017 293's. I barely made the production. Couple more days and I'd of missed it and would of had to wait for 2018. We didn't want to gamble on what changes would be made to the 2018 model.
Our unit was ordered 01/30/17 and built 03/10/17. It's waiting to be delivered to the dealer. Dealer told them not to ship until the the snow storms have passed to keep it out of the slop. Should be at the dealer in another week or two.

Keep us posted on your order.

Hi Earl, That what the dealer told up also when we first started this, I kinda wanted to be a head of the rush but when he said if you could wait, may be we could get a 2018, So for the extra year on the title for what its worth is said ok, May run must be the new 18's. there keeping the 3 dark colors and changing the Meadow to a different light color,I have a Denali TT 2015 2461rk I'm trading, this is our first 5th wheel looking forward to it.

I haven't heard anything on the 2018 Eagle changes yet. They should be public soon. We went with Cashmere on our 293. We liked the Meadow but the way we camp, we didn't think it would hold up as far as stains. The other colors were too dark for us.

Once you go 5th, you will never go back to travel trailers. The 293 will be my 3rd 5th wheel. My current is a 2009 Forest River Wildcat 28RKSB that I'm trading. I factory ordered it too.

What options are you getting? Did your dealer know what the 2018 options will be?

We stayed at Bahia Honda Key a few years ago and it was fabulous.
Book early... the Keys fill up quickly.

Also... Anastasia State Park, near St. Augustine is nice.

And... Fort Clinch on Amelia Island is a good bet. We are leaving in a few day for Little Talbot Island SP near there, but I don't think your rig would fit.

We did breakup our trip to the Keys (its a long drive) and stayed at Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park, in the center of the state. We chose it primarily because the park has minimal light pollution and is an excellent place for viewing the night sky. Unfortunately it was cloudy the night we stayed.

French, we also have a 293RKDs on order, and as everyone has posted, the 17 production is done so we will also be getting an 18. Tons of Florida info on line, we'll be at Boyd's in Key West next January/February, then heading to Bradenton to watch my Bucs in spring training for March. best of luck on your new purchase. I don't have any info on the new ones but I will post when i hear something. Please do the same.

In our very limited experience, but also with given what our veteran camper friends tell us, the further south you go into Florida the harder it is to make reservations. For instance, at Boyd's you can reserve 1 year in advance of your planned arrival. Basically if you don't call then you're out of luck. Further north into Florida isn't as bad.
