We had some folks over last night who also recently purchased a new unit. They pointed out ripples on two slide which in their opinion is not acceptable. I know when you look at all units you can see some imperfections. Fiberglass is Fiberglass. Their reasoning is it should be perfectly smooth especially since its only a few months old. When you run a hand across the area they pointed out you can feel uneven surfaces (ripples). I can't find it any where else on the rig. I tried taking some pics but can't pick it up or I'm not at a good angle. What is considered the Norm?
I would get it back to the dealer to look at. If it's de-laminating due to water intrusion it needs to be stopped before it gets worse. The side should be pretty smooth with no major ripples. Good luck
Lots of solid side fiberglass trailers have bumps or ripples. It's caused but all the different products coming together. When you have aluminum framing, luan and then lay fiberglass over it you're bound to get some bumps. Any slight imperfection in one of the products will amplify to the next.
