Congrats on your Designer. I copied and pasted this directly from Jayco's website.

"Does Jayco give factory tours?
Yes, we offer tours of our sewing shop and fifth wheel line all year Monday through Friday at 12 noon when our factory is operating. We add a second 9:30 AM tour during June, July and August. Although no reservations are required, it is advisable to call ahead to make certain of tour availability."

Healthi and her husband toured the plant when they traveled to Indiana to pick up their 2010 travel trailer. Here is a link she provided to a video showing how a trailer is built in six hours: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540...68163#32468163

You can find her original post on page 2 of General RV Chat.

I understand that the Jayco factory tour is one of the most popular manufacturing plant tours in the USA.

We were told that we would not see ours built. We could see what was online that particular day (that we were there) as we arrived after our tt went offline. When we were there, the 5th wheel Designer was being built (on tour). We purchased a tt and had hoped that was the tour we would see, but no such luck.

Call Jayco and ask for 'John' (who does the tours). Perhaps he could give you a heads up on when to come and see the 5th wheel's being built.

Good Luck.
