Fell into a 5th Wheel.
Came across a deal on a 2008 Jayco Eagle 341 RLQS that was too good to pass up. It had been sitting on the lot for a while on consignment and the owner decided it had to go. Everything works and the overall condition is a 8/10. Any thing I should watch out for?

Congrats! Check all roof seals, repack bearings and have the dealer service the brakes. I would also change all 4 tires as it's been sitting and probably has the original Marathons on it. They may look good to the eye, but 5 years and sitting make them due.
I am sure some owners who have experience with that specific model will chime with any gremlins to watch for.

Thank you. I was looking for a bumper pull to put up here as a semi-permanent "summer cabin", but a deal is a deal. I am having a service deliver it as I do not have that kind of tow vehicle. Once it gets unhitched, I don't know when it will move again.

Yes, the roof is #1 on the priority. Then, work your way down and check for any internal water damage, which can lead to mole and rotted out wood. While there, check for rodent droppings and other critters making a home in your rig. Check all plumbing hardware and pipes for leakage and cracks. Also, suspension hardware should also be looked at, including axles, tires, shackles, bushings, springs.

Thanks for the advice. I've been looking for something to serve as a summer "cabin" up here. I don't plan to haul it much if at all. I am having a service ferry it up for me. Once the guy unhitches it I don't know when it will move again.

Thank you. The little one is a Riverside White Water Retro 155. Sleeps two comfortably and you hardly know you are towing it.

I realize that tires are not high on your list of things because you don't intend to tow it. But keep in mind that if it blows a tire on the way to where you are keeping it, substantial damage can be done before your towing people can stop. if they are original tires, i would try to to borrow or rent tires and rims from a trailer dealer to make the transport. The damage that can occur with a blowout could cost far beyond the price of new tires.

Or you could just hire someone to haul it on a flatbed. If the tires worry you, that is.
