Finally ordered It

Well folks we finally ordered our new retirement home on wheels. We had originally decided on the 36FBTS but changed our minds and settled on the 36KPTS due to the increased cabinet space. Dealer said it should arrive last week of March or first week of April. Keeping our fingers crossed.

Awesome Wampuscat, that's got to be pretty exciting! We are wandering home from 2 weeks in Florida to get back to work, talked to several retiree's who are enjoying the retired life. I've got 10 years until I am eligible to retire (not sure if that is gonna work out or not...) and we are looking forward to more travel opportunities!

Not at all. My brother-in-law and a good friend of mine both have 40 to 41 foot fifth wheels and they live in Colorado and have no problems pulling their trailers with the same truck in the mountains. I thought the same thing and was concerned till I talked to both of them.

Well folks, a few posts back Doubleheader asked if I was concerned about the pin weight on my 2500 with the Pinnacle KPTS. I told him not at all, but have since changed my outlook on this. After doing more calculations which I must have done something wrong the first time. I came up with a different conclusion the second time around. The 2500 would have no problem pulling the Pinnacle but the pin weight would have been over the trucks ratings. So I bit the bullet and ordered a new TV. A Ram 3500 Bighorn Crew Cab 4x4 Dually 6.7 Turbo Diesel High Output with Aisin Tranny. This should take care of it. And thanks for questioning. Always appreciate the help. That's what I like about the folks in this forum. Able to help without condemning.

Congrats on the new truck Wamp! In my area, I couldn't find an Aisin in stock...seemed like you had to order one to get one. I just bought a leftover '16 Longhorn Dually. It's been a nice truck since I've had it...only problem is that I've only managed to put on 322 miles on it thus far! Enjoy!

Congrats on the new TV. i have a 2016 Ram 4x4 DRW with the Aisin. The truck is a beast! It toys with our Pinnacle when in tow. You will love how the tow haul mode works with the engine brake system.

Congrats on the new purchase! We love our 2017 Pinnacle 36KPTS, the DW loves the huge kitchen. We have been FTing since June. My loaded Pin Weight is 3650 lbs. We do not have the generator. You'll love it!

Thanks Everyone, The TV is on order. Not one in a 1000 miles of dealer. Better that way because I got just what I wanted. Will arrive in 60 days. Will post picks when I get it. 5ver should be in the end of the month or first of next month.

The 5ver finally arrived at the dealer Saturday 4/1/2017. Looks like it may be there till next week to have some add-ons installed. Just waiting on the TV to come in now. Hopefully it will arrive next week. Scheduled to ship on the 10th.
