Fishing Rod Storage
Anybody got any clever ideas for storeing about 6 rods in the 6 to 7 ft. range?? We have a 2013 29.5 RKS, and I am a little puzzled about good ways to store one piece rods.
Thanks,
Joe

How about just plain ole 4-inch PVC square or round tubing (LOWES) and mount to the trailer bumper...
Don't know how many fishing poles you can get inside one but it might be a thought for you... You can put protective ends on the these units...

What about fabricating something in the front pass-through, you could buy some kind of holder and fasten it to the top of the passthrough. We don't do that because we store them in our boat which we bring with us when fishing.

I took a set of the aluminum/foam rod holders and made a hook out of aluminum sheet, pop rivet to holder and hang them on the wall board of the stotage compartment.I was overruled on actually mounting them using screws,DW said no holes added to her rv

I bought a bunch of very large brass cup hooks, used a vise grip and opened up the hook, to allow the rod to slip in a little easier. Then I screwed them to the ceiling structure of my pass though. I am set up for three rods. Cost was about a $1 a rod holder.

If you remove your reels to travel, I made mine out of 1x2 and 1/4 plywood. Find a spot in your storage area and custom fit it. rip the plywood allowing for a 1x2 and aprox 2inches per rod, made mine 4 deep and 2 wide for 8 rods, but you can make any configuration that works for your space.

If you have a ladder on the back, you can just fasten them vertically with a few velcro straps. Yes, theft could be potential threat, but we never had a problem with that.

This looks like an great, compact and sturdy storage system. What brand is it and and where might I find one?
Thanks!

how about one of the gun racks for the back window of a P/U? Mount it inside the pass through and hang the rods inside.

Thanks, but I have a 29ME, one of the few motorhomes without an attached ladder. I'm looking for ideas on a rack to put them on the ceiling of the pass-through.

I got one of these, for once I'm in camp, and my rods are set-up, and I don't want to take them apart every day...
