Frame support bending on Northpoint 377. Anyone else?

Below the kitchen slide/TV on my 2016 Northpoint 377, the frame floor support extensions (not sure what they are called) are bending like crazy. Inside we recently started noticing the floor sloping down the far 10 inches on that side, and now I know why. Any 377 owners out there? Can you go check yours under the kitchen slide? Maybe even add a pic. Anybody know what those supports are called? Any experience with this? We got this rig in September 2015. It's my 13 RV over the years, but this problem is a new one for me. My slide is the same as yours and I noticed one support like that a while ago. I just thought it hit something and was bent at the factory. Maybe not

AZFBTS looks the same and he has a water damaged floor. How is your floor under the slide

Just looked at mine. Same thing-bent- but I haven't noticed any floor issues--yet. Rock- is yours bent? Oh Rock, by the way, snow in Lake Placid over the weekend!

I haven't noticed any problems with my floor.
How is AZ's water damage and the bent support related?

Is this only happening to units with the heavier residential fridge? Or is it also happening to those with gas/elec fridges?

I have the residential fridge, but it isn't above that perticular support and the supports are under the main floor, not the slide floor. Even if the slide was closed, it would have to bend the heck out of the slide floor before it could start bending the main floor to actually bend the support. And if it did then the Schwintek would be binding.
That's why I thought mine was just bent by accident at the factory. Interesting though.

The floor gives support to the slide when open. His floor has water damage and he said u can see it kind of bubbling the vinyl. So if the wood is that wet when open it is bending down and not supporting the weight and buckling that little support. He sent me pics using a moisture meter at floor bottom by support and it maxed the meter out. That is why I am being annal and sealing every seam, staple and screw in the wheel well. Hopefully he will add to this thread. His is at the dealer for roof and his last reply was waiting on what is going on with the main floor

Snow. I remember one memorial weekend getting ready to go to lower Saranac lake to open our cabin as a kid. My dad called the marina to put boat I n the water and was told sorry lake still frozen. I am heading up to Keene June 8. My buddy is doing my road widening memorial weekend to fit the FW in. 30 ft TT no problem but will not chance this. My big concern is going down my steep hill. Gonna unhook and raise up hitch for more bed clearance before heading down

I have the gas fridge and looked at my supports when AZ noticed his and mine were fine than.

Here is my question. On my TT I was told if camping longer than a week to put supports under the slide. Jayco says no supports. I can see the reason for the Schwintec but not the other slide with the electric ram. I might also support the kitchen slide

I have the same brackets under all my main slides including the kitchen. None of which are bent at all. I think that issue needs to be addressed with Jayco directly.

If it were me I would weld angle iron to the edge running from the frame to the floor on all of them to keep that from happening. Down the line you could have issues with your slides warping from irregular support IMHO.

I'd be wanting to dig deeper, as in check the cross members. Jaycos spec. frames aren't much different than anybody else's, under engineered and "just enough". Plenty of other manf. have dealt with the lattice cross members warping and breaking. These rigs were scaled and way under gvwr. Probably worth pulling the chloroplast underneath and at least looking. No doubt the bent outrigger is a big issue. My guess, if typical, it'll be a finger pointing game. Jayco blames LCI, LCI blames Jayco or owner, etc.

I bet this will turn into a big issue like the roof lifting in spots. U would never really notice unless looking for another problem like a slide issue. Think about it, when slide is in no weight. Fully out just the Schwintec side frames and slide inner molding is holding these heavy slides in place. I also wonder if having a slide out and than leveling can do this. I am amazed when I level mine and standing back you can see the frame move when the rear jacks come down. If I had a bent bracket I would also be looking for a soft floor around the bracket area. I have to go pick mine up this week from another dealers body shop but will stop by the Jayco dealer. If they still have the two new Designer models I will look at the frame and see what supports are under it

I bent mine back straight.. I'll see if it bends again.

Rock, I see how the slide is supported now when opened or closed. It is sitting on a series of rollers you can clearly see by pulling the seal flap back. One of them is very close to my bent support.

I know it has rollers to make it slide in an out. You can see the depressions in the slide bottom when it is out. Have u ever opened the slides than leveled? Have to look at mine an see if a roller is over the bracket. My luck never stops. Shop called and my paint job is finished but they opened the decal box and only one decal the bottom one of three. Now they r checking with Jayco to see if they have any to overnight or they will have to be made. It just never ends.

As I look at my bent bracket it almost looks like it was welded onto the frame in the wrong spot and they bent it over so it would line up with the bolt that goes thru it. You can see what I mean in Klassic's picture. The bracket doesn't line up with the bolt. I have tried to see what that bolt holds (maybe part of the slide frame?) but without dropping the plastic underbelly I can't see anything. I have been crawling around on the floor inside the unit with a level and the floor area in front of the fridge is only off about 1/8th of an inch in one small area and I don't see any problems when I pull out the drawers and look under/behind them.-- at least not yet!

I called Jayco when I was told mine would need to be removed for the bracket on the side, but it did not. They said the Schwintec is bolted to the FW on each side of the slide with roller on the FW floor. They said the dealer would just pull interior trim and than top header on slide and it would just come right out. It looks like either Lippert welds those brackets on and Jayco installs the FW floor and the bolt goes thru both or Jayco installs the bracket during build. It would be great if they r bent for bolt alignment and not do to slide weight

Rock,

According to the Jayco build process videos the frame outriggers are located/welded (model specific) by the OEM frame manufacture (Lippert, etc.), and Jayco doesn't weld anything to the frame to avoid compromising the integrity of the frame.
