Furion 50 amp Power Cable

I have gone through 2 of the Furion 50 amp amp smart cables in 2 years. It seems that 1 leg goes out probably im guessing from the sensor light in the female end plug. They have a 5 year warranty and the Jayco dealer replaced it once under the 2 yr Jayco warranty but now that the warranty is up it has gone out again.
Does anyone know if can cut of the female end and and replace it with a reg locking nut type or not. Or maybe with the a replaceable Furion plug. I sent them an email and they responded saying that they would get back to me in 48 hrs but I haven't heard anything.
I'm thinking I might to remove the male end with the sensor light from my rv and just replace it with a standard type so I can easily replace the cord when needed.

Can you run a continuity test with a VOM to determine whether it's an open or just an LED problem?

Whelp! There's your problem.

Do the continuity checks inside the RV to see if it JUST the cord.

Then pull the plug inside the RV so you can do end-to-end test on the cord. Confirm it is bad and order up a new one.
