Furniture

While reading another post about recliners I am wondering why RV furniture is so expensive. Because of that we are looking to replace the regular rockers we have with home type recliners because they are much cheaper. Has anyone done this and what did you buy that would fit in the door? We have a 2012 Jayco 31.5 RLTS Super Lite. thanks

Alot of residential recliners have removable backs. I would think if you went with one like this, then they should fit without a problem.

Small lazy boy recliners fit very well in our 30.5RLS superlite.

Like an automobile, I've come to realize that the RV is 10-50K investment made from $1,000,000.00 worth of over the counter parts.

This is what we did when we had our 28.5 Eagle SuperLite.
(I did miss the ability to swivel as I couldn't snoop on the neighbors as easily from my lazyboy as would get a stiff neck looking our the rear picture window!)

Shop around at your larger furniture stores as they should have or could order in the smaller sized recliners if that is what you want.

I do agree with the OP that for some reason, RV furniture pretty expensive.

We bought our Lane Theater Seating Unit at a furniture store.
We disassembled it into 3 sections and it went in through the door with ease.

We also replaced the chairs in our 28.5 Eagle SuperLite. Sold the original chairs to the dealer (for very little) and bought small LZ Boy recliners. the backs slip off and they fit through the door easily. We do have to move them to one side when we bring the slide in.

Best after market purchase we made.
