Going camping finally
Well we are hitting the road finally to get away from the heat in Florida. Going to travel and visit family and friends in our 27.5RLTS. This will be our first trip of any length other than our two nights to break in the RV. I hope that all goes well and there are no major breakdowns, not expecting anything but got my fingers crossed.
I had one issue with the new RV, found that the front lights on cap do not work. Looked inside where the switch wires along with a multitude of wiring is next to the battery. I found the one wire hanging loose from the quick connector and I could not get it to reconnect. I'm looking for a new connector and will try to fix it on the road. I did not see any fuses blown but the wire did touch the metal where the switch is mounted and it sparked. I haven't done anything except tape the wire end until I can get a new connector for it. Other than that and the door to the RV keeps coming opening a little but is stopped by the handrail unless I lock both the deadbolt and the regular door lock. Then it seems to stay shut, but I will find out more on our trip. Might have to go see the dealer and see what is wrong with the latch mechanism.
