Question Heated underbelly

We are in the process of buying an 05 Designer fifth wheel and it says that it has an insulated and heated underbelly. How is it heated? Does this mean that you can use it during winter months? I am assuming it is to keep the water and waste tanks from freezing. We used to have an 03 Montana and it had an Artic package but I don't believe it had heated underbelly. Thanks in advance for replys.

We don't have the Arctic package but we do have the heated enclosed underbelly. Apparently when you have your heating on during cold tempatures it keeps the pipes from freezing (according to the dealer) because the heating is ducted under the trailer where the pipes are located. We used this once when the temps dipped to 32 degrees without winterizing. I'm not a techie, so I can't say for sure how it works, but there are techies here that will

I have a 2003 Designer and have camped to 17 degrees, the high the next day was 34 and back to 20 that night without any issues. Did go through a lot of propane! Disconnected the water supply and ran off the pump. When ran out of water, refilled the tank. I left grey tank valves open and held blackwater.

In February of this year we were out and had below freezing temps for 9 consecutive nights including 5 inches of snow. See photo's on my profile.
