Donedroolin,

You should also check NADA RV section to get an idea on the trade-in value of your current Eagle.

Then with the value of 30% off Jayco's MSRP (as others have indicated) and the NADA Low & Average Retail values, you should be ready to start bargaining.

Just remember that it's a numbers game.
High Price & High Trade-In value or Low Price & Low Trade-In value, but bottom line works out to be the same.

You can't expect to get a low price & high trade-in value.

FYI - the way I've always approached buying vehicles and RVs, I'll bargain by "I'll give you my trade and this amount of $".
That $ includes tax, prep, destination, filing, DMV, etc. That is, all other charges they add.

I figuring out what my target $ amount is by:
30% off Jayco's MSRP
- NADA Trade-in value (or trade-in value I want to get)
= base price
+ Tax
+ Delivery
+ DMV / Reg / Insp
+ Dealership fees (e.g., prep, filing, tire fee, etc.)
= $ amount

Then I deal by I'll give you my trade + this $ amount for that trailer.
The dealership can work the numbers anyway they want as long as the bottom line is equal to the $ amount.

Hope this makes sense and helps some.

The sales girl from Albany RV called me back. I went over with her my findings. Told them they are at least $10,000 higher then other quotes I have. She tried to give me some bs lines, but said she would go to her manager to see what could be done. Don't think I will be expecting much. We will see

BuffaloRV is like Albany, part of RVone.
They have a 375 on the lot, but without the residential fridge.
Find out what they want for it... Similar to Albany giving you a price off the lot.
See how different the prices are

Love Jayco

I was able to get over 35% off the MSRP optioned out price when I ordered my 2014. That was one of the reasons I jumped at the upgrade.

Forget the trade in. That is why they are giving you a higher price to offset the good trade in. While the trade is good the buy price is high.

We ordered ours from Rhone's Travel Trailers close to Williamsport, PA and ended up getting it for $52,500, we do not have the res fridge or the pain windows. Rhone's have been great to us and are a family owned dealership. They were going to give us $16,500 for our 2013 Eagle 314BDS but was able to sell it for $19,500 privately and they also did a courtesy trade for us to give us the tax credit. Ours 375 listed for @ $83,000 and som change.

+1. Went into our local dealer with several quotes from other local dealers, Hamiltons and online.

We purchased from RV-Max in Sherman, Texas with approximately 31% off MSRP. Honestly, that's not what convinced us to buy...It was how much trade-in money they gave us on our existing TT.
