Question Holes in FW and slider awning

Folks, I have a couple of questions. The first has to do with a slider topper for my bigger slide. Over the top of the slide is some hardware, a piece of metal about the length of the slide. Is this up there to mount a slider awning on? If so, how hard would it be to do this and, if you know, about what cost for the material?

Second, I have some "holes" in my FW where the plumbing and electrical make it way into the FW. Would it make sense to try to somewhat fill those spaces with expanding foam or would something else be more appropriate?

first question:no clue
second question:expanding foam is what the factory used on ours.I use the stuff all the time in my ac business and have found the cheap stuff works as good as the expensive stuff and a "little goes a long way" or as Brylcreme used to say:"a little dab will do ya"
