Question HT Series One battery Only

I am surprised that the 26.5/27.5 HT have just one house battery. This seems odd for the size unit to only have one battery. Dry camping is greatly compromised with just one house battery. Has anyone with the Ht series added 2nd battery and where?

Pretty sure it's not much help but my 28.5 HT. has dual batteries. Came that way when I bought it new.

Here is what I did on my Eagle HT 26.5 BHS:

Now I use that little one battery compartment for storage. Moved everything to the front left compartment, and still room for both of my 2000W Yamaha geni's (usually only put one in there).

Install was super easy, and i'm new to all this.....

I have been having this same conversation with our dealer and our Jayco rep in regards to our "yet to be delivered" Eagle TT, especially in units that are sold with a residential refrigerator.

When I inquired with our dealership, on how many and what type of batteries would be in the trailer at delivery, I was told that it was the same one they sold with all their TT's, which was one group 24 Interstate deep cycle. I then asked if that was the case with the larger 5th wheels like a North Point, Pinnacle, or Designer and he said, Oh no, those have 4.

Now wouldn't you think that smaller TT's/5er's that due to their installed options, or much higher rate of being used in a boondock situation, be the ones that actually get the batteries needed to operate in such an environment? Or at the very least, be asked by the salesman, what the expected use would be? Guess not.

And even during my discussion with my Jayco rep, he stated that they test/certify the residential refrigerators using 2 deep cycle batteries, but was also surprised that I was only going to get one. He also didn't state whether this type of information is passed to the dealers or not.

So as far as I can determine, it is up to the salesman/dealership to make the call on how many batteries are sold with each unit, however what that is based on looks like it has more to do with the price point of said unit and less to do with what actual options are chosen, or how it might be used.

Yup, it's up to the dealers how many batteries they put in the campers. My previous dealer always puts 2 batteries in any camper that has slides. When I asked my current Jayco dealer how many they put in he said 1. I told him make that 2 or no deal!

When I bought my first FW back in 1993, it only had one battery and no room to add a second one. So, we just brought along a second, fully charged, one for backup. Also had a generator. In 2012 we bought our HT 26.5 RLS and it initially had one battery, but the salesman had said batteries when we closed the deal so they added a second one. I'm not sure if the are 24' or 27's, but we can usually get three to four good days of use out of them before having to resort to a generator to somewhat recharge them. Don't have quite as nice a set-up as mtedelen, but it works for us. Shouldn't be too big a deal to add a battery as there is a lot of storage room in these FWs.

2015. Might have been out of the kindness of Camperworld, but I doubt it.

Our 2013 Eagle Premier 321RLTS came with one battery. That was all the dealership said was required of them to give us. We had traded a 5th wheel in that had two new batteries. I told them I wanted one or those batteries since they only have to supply one. I did get one of our new battery from the traded in unit. I had been told originally at that dealership that a 50 amp unit would have two batteries. That was until delivery day.
