Issues switching lp tanks

I have a jayco 30.5 Bhlt

When switching over the lp tank I got nothing. Even tried swapping tanks in case it was a bad valve or something.
Then tried another full spare tank I had and nothing.

When at the dealer the guy doing the walkthru switched the tanks and the heater died during the demo and our first weekend out last weekend I got it going but now just does not seem to have pressure.

The tanks have a built in safety valve that will close up if opened too quickly. Close the valve, wait until you hear a "click" and then open VERY slowly.

Sounds like a bad regulator. But have you verified there is fuel in the tank (s). A full tank is very heavy compared to an empty tank.

There is also a safety valve that senses a line break, that shuts the fuel flow off. Disconnect the tanks, light the stove, until it burns out, let it sit for a bit, so the pressure on both sides of the valve can equalize. Shut the stove off. Connect the tanks. Here is the key really slowly crack open the valve to allow the rank pressure to slowly charge the lines. Light the stove to get the gas flowing. Open the second tank slowly, then flip the regulator selector to the second tank. If it was the safety valve both tanks should be working now. If that safety valve kicks in, you cannot get any fuel flow.

We had the same type issue with our camper. It turned out to be the hoses that attach to to the bottles. They would not let propane flow, changed the hoses and everything works fine now.

I can seem to get some pressure. One tank is empty and pretty much had been trying the same thing. Totally disconnect everything, run stove out and then slowly start again. The green indicator light on the switching valve will come on but when heater tries to run it drops right out to red.

It's not the tanks, I have two full tanks that I tested using on my grill.

Tanks are not empty and one is 100% full and other is 90% or so.

Switching to the far tank the display registers red. Swap them and the same and both have green on the lp indicator light.

The good side using either tank will power the stove or hot water but will not fire the furnace.

I had exactly the same issue with our Pinnacle when it was new. We discovered it when the weather got cold enough to require use of the furnace. The regulator was defective, and a new one solved the problem. The dealer would not give me a replacement under warranty, unless I took the fifthwheel in to them for service, which was a 150 mile round trip. I purchased the replacement locally for $45, and it took 20 minutes to install. If you do this, be sure to leak test the connections.

If this is a new unit, check underneath the unit to make sure the propane hoses are not kinked. We had a problem like this on our new purchase. The junction box had to be relocated to take pressure off the lines to allow the propane to be able to flow.
