It's not the GFCI? Now outlet power!

I was blowdrying my hair in the bedroom when all the outlets stopped working, now the DirectTv guy is on the way here and I cant get the TV working, PLEASE HELP! Could it be a fuse?

We can only locate 1 GFCI and its in the bathroom, I hit the button and it just bounces back out nothing clicks. What else can I troubleshoot? Husband tried all the buttons in the panel, nothing there either!

You have no power the the gfci outlet, that's why it doesn't reset. You either tripped a breaker in the trailer panel or at the power post.

This^^^^ a GFCI outlet has to have power to it for the reset to work. Look for a tripped breaker and then reset the outlet.

BREAKERS BREAKERS! Ugh

Husband rechecked the and double, triple checked the breakers, nothing is tripped. We also replaced the D plug in, just in case that was bad. Nothing, still without power--all plugs, and microwave.

There should be a GFCI near the kitchen somewhere also,at least in my trailer there is one,the coffee pot and electric space heater trips it at times.Did you physically turn breakers on and off,it may not looked tripped but very well could be,i hate the smaller type breakers they use in these things.

Sounds like you've lost power to the rig completely. You either have no power at the post, no power leaving the post, a bad plug (the RV connector), the cable going to the RV is bad, or the input connection on the converter (input from the cable feeding the RV) is bad.

Thanks you all! Hubby, Greg agrees with the power cord or the power at the post, its got to be one or the other because everything works via the generator! Ugh! No turkey breast here tomorrow!

May help to know what kind of RV you have.. if a 30 amp unit, then I would check if you have power coming into the RV. If not, then check the breaker at the post. If that is on and still no power than contact the campground. If you do have power coming in, it could be your main breaker, as others have said, click them off and then back on, you can't tell by just looking at them. Electric is fairly straightforward.... you can follow it's path (or lack there of) and see where the power starts or ends. Most likely if you have no 120 volt power it is either your main breaker or the post breaker. Good Luck.

Bridges...Had the exact same thing happen recently...No TV, microwave or outlet power...

Go to the post outside and physically turn off the post breaker then turn it back on...It will look like it isn't tripped but IT IS internally...We call these Gremlins... You'll probably hear the microwave beep...Then reset the bathroom GFCI and any other you may have and get that turkey breast ready...

Happy Turkey Day!!!!!!

Look into a small digital voltmeter for Christmas.

These type things are common when rv'ing and can be quickly isolated with the proper test equipment.

I carry a GFCI breaker spare because with all that current they do go bad from time to time and having one makes it a simple fix.

The problem has been stated there is NO 110V power in the RV. No outlets, no microwave. This will not be a GFCI problem. Campground pedestals do not use a GFCI for the 50/30 amp receptacles.

A voltmeter would tell you where the problem is quickly. The Microwave is not usually on a GFCI, it's a separate breaker.

If your trailer is 50 amp, you could of lost a leg and only have power to half your circuits.

Don't just look at the breaker physically flip it off then back on.. some pop and still look like they are on.. start at the post then go inside and do the rest till power is restored.
