We upgraded from a Lance 10 10 pick up truck camper to our 2019 Jayco 5th wheel Eagle HT 30.5

As you can imagine, we have all sorts of room.

2 days in an the refrigerator quit but the dealer said he would send a repairman out the 75 miles + to where we are to fix it.

We did not intend to upgrade but our house burned down in Northern California Camp Fire.

The 2nd night in our new Eagle the was flooding and water came within 3" of our bottom step. We do not have the 5th wheel hitch installed in our F250 yet.😱

We expect locusts tomorrow.

2019 Pinnacle 36SSWS. At the dealer now (Orlando RV) waiting for 5th wheel hitch to be installed in the truck. Then a 4 hour ride home to SE GA.

It's our first RV (and first truck)

If all goes well, the house goes on the market in February

We are still waiting for a repairman. The Jayco dealer knows how to say he will fix it but he does not know what it means to actually fix it.

2018 Pinnacle KPTS

Our maiden voyage along with our good friends and there new Bighorn 5th wheel was to southern California then up and around the Pacific northwest and back home to Prescott Arizona 5 weeks and 4,000 miles
WARNING Prosser WA has several wine vineyards! The trip home was like the I Love Lucy Long Long trailer movie but instead of rocks my wife collecting wine
our trailer must have weighed twice as much on the way home
Can't wait to get the Ram and Pinnacle back from the dealers (both warranty) and leave for a few more weeks

We just picked this camper up last week. Maiden voyage scheduled for this weekend. 150 or so mile trip to Birmingham. Hoover gun show to be exact.

Owned two previous campers but both were travel trailers. First time I backed a 5th Wheel was when I backed it into my 90 degree turn driveway!

Love it so far..I guess time will tell.

Rookie, planning to full time when I retire in 2020. On Jan 10, 2019 we ordered a Pinnacle 36FBTS w/ Carbon Steel FBP. We are very excited and plan to take delivery of the unit in Late April of 2019.
We plan to Hire an NRVIA inspector to perform our PDI and have a trip planned for May ...

Learning curve

The wife and I got a 5th wheel toy hauler. The idea behind it is to get the trailer we want so we don't need to upgrade in 5-10 years to fit our needs. Anyway, it has been a few weeks now and I was outside looking at a few things and noticed that the trailer is sinking the front jacks into the ground. So we made a trip up to home depot to pick up a 2x10 and make a few pads for it. After getting it hitched up and the gear pulled up I noticed one of the feet are bent like a ski. Probably from sinking into the ground. Well, now its time to do a little digging and see if I can get a new foot for it or my personal favorite is modify it and make it better! For now, the pads seem to fit the bill.

What did you do to the 7.3? Also what kind of weight and fuel mileage to you get while towing?

160/30 injectors, 4 line fuel line kit, KC turbo billet wheel and shaft kit, 6637 Napa filter, Hydra tuner with 1023 Diesel custom tunes. Sam Wyse valve body in the 4R100 as well as a deep sump pan. 225 mile trip home and we averaged 11.6 mpg at 67 mph. Trailer weight is 9250 empty. Our PSD has 365k on it and has never ran better.

That's awesome! I was looking at Swamps kit that they have that has a set of injectors a new turbo, and a hand full of other stuff. I will have to wait till next year or so to see whats all going where. I have an E99 that I picked up from a guy for 1500. He was going to scrap it because it didn't run. I but connected three wires and it fired to life. Mine has 265k on it now and looks to be stock. I do all my own work and have been researching the transmissions. I have already installed a billet 3 disk converter. (the old one rattled at idle) I'm not a big fan of how it shifts stock. I like a very crisp almost hard shift from gear to gear. I'm glad I talked to you I had never heard of Sam Wyse or CNC fabrication. I bookmarked there site for a later shopping spree. Again thanks for the info!

I bought my parts from Corey at CNC Fab, did the work myself, and had Dusty Hogate at 1023 do the tune for me. These guys specialize in 7.3s and all I can say is that you will not be disappointed. I can not believe how much better my truck runs over a stock 7.3. 200 miles on the highway and it never once kicked out of OD on any hill. It just kept pulling and pulling. Good luck with your build and maybe we will see on the road one day.
