Jayco changed Auto Leveling System Mfg

On the Jayco 2015 5th Wheels that are arriving on dealer lots now, Jayco has changed from the troublesome Atwood Leveling system to the LCI Ground Control Leveling System with the LCI Control Panel.

It is still a electric leveling system, not the Hydraulic LCI Level Up system.

This sounds like a good move as many had problems with the Atwood system.

Interesting. We ordered a Eagle Premier that's supposed to be built early March. Dealer said it might arrive as a 2015. So is the change in production now? I've read about the challenges some have had with Atwood but thought most were attributed to operator training. The idea of having an early production version of a change is a bit more of a concern than something having known quirks.

I know a Jayco will stand behind either unit so I'm back to anxious anticipation

The picture I posted was copied from a dealers 2015 Jayco inventory.

Not sure when the change will be made, we installed the aftermarket Ground Control System on our 2011 (Jayco did not offer a leveling system in 2011), it is not an automatic system but it has worked great and is quite a quick setup with the remote.

If the new Ground Control System that Jayco is using has the same hardware, legs and motors as the aftermarket Ground Control System we have, it is a great package.

The addition of the LCI Controller should make it a great system.

Nice to know (and see) that Jayco will make changes if they feel them to be necessary. See they took out the Dirt Devil central vac and went to a portable cordless Dyson. We used the CV maybe twice before getting a Bissell which does a much better job without dragging the hose around the rig.

As far as the Atwood Auto Leveling System once we figured out the proper operating sequence (posted in another thread) no more troubles.

It looks like Jayco is listening to their customers and making changes / improvements to their products
