jayco eagle vs. heartland sundance
I love the layout of the jayco 33.5 rets with the L shaped couch. its a shame they have quit making them. I might buy a used one. heartland makes a sundance 3270res that is very similar. any thoughts on the sundance. I think jayco is still my fav.

When we got our last Jayco, we weighed it against a Heartland Big Country.
It was close.

We have on order a Jayco Eagle 323LKTS. The floor plan is very close to the 33.5RETS including the 'L' shape couch. It is a little larger. Check it out.

We did also look at the Heartland Sundance. IMO Jayco has better quality and of course a better warranty.
BTW a Heartland dealer here in Minnesota recently dropped the Heartland line because from a dealers point of view they were very hard to work with and get warranty work approved. True or not, I would do the research on it.

We have a 33.5 RETS and love it. Don't really understand why Jayco dropped it from their line up. They seemed to sell a lot of these at the dealer where we bought ours.

Well as a dealer. I have to say that Heartland warranty is a bit frisky, but not all that hard to deal with. Jayco isnt easy either. We sell Sundance, have very few warranty work after the sale. We also sell Starcraft. Again not many warranty claims after the sale. I can say that many many Starcraft need many hours of work BEFORE they ever hit the sale lot. Now realize we sell the AR-ONE and the Autumn Ridge line of Starcraft TTs. (both a lower end TT. Sundance 5er is a low side on the mid range 5er). Jayco and Starcraft may be the same units, built on the same line, owned by Jayco. But the warranty aspect is completely 2 different intities. Heartland, is also a seperate intity, but at least you get the full backing of THOR. Meaning parts are easier to get because there are so many THOR products, that use the same parts.
If I was buying a new RV today. I would much rather have a Jayco/StarCraft, than most THOR products. (Save the Bighorn, Cyclone, Airstream)

The only units built on the same line are the pop-ups. Starcraft TTs & FWs come out of their plant in Topeka, all Jaycos out of Middlebury.

IIRC Heartland was a private company and was bought out by Thor, which is the largest RV manufacturer, a few years back?

your right, the 323lkts is very close to the same. it looks awesome also. I like the bench at the door, the wife would rather have pantry. I like the bathroom a lot better also on the 323.
