Inflatables would be good, except those of us in this thread already own the hard plastic ones. I would've definitely considered it otherwise

Sea Eagle Kayak

This was our solution to bringing along a Kayak..
Great 20-min.Inflation & your on the water. Deflate pack away, taking up very little room.

They're tree limb supports from amazon.com that I added pvc pipe to to make them long enough. Around $60 I think. The C end clamps around the awning roller perfectly.
I need to replace the pvc with metal pipe I think.

kayak Rack

I use a yakima rack for my two 10 ft kayaks over my gmc sierra P/u. Truck is short bed 4dr.diesel. It only works bec. I have a pull rite superglide auto sliding hitch which slides aft during turns and backing so no problem with clearance.
