Ladder for Eagle Super Lite HT Fifth
New to the forum. Looking forward to multiple uses. Just sold a 2006 Jayflight 27.5 BHS Fifth. Miss it already. Considering an Eagle Super Lite HT Fifth...dealer says no possibility of ladder. He can't say why. Anyone venture a guess and thoughts on the need for a ladder to access the roof, top of slide, etc.
Appreciate it.

I dont know why you cant have a latter. But the least amount of holes in the roof I would think the better. The only reasons I can think you would need a latter while traveling is to get up to clean off the slides or to work on the air conditioners.

You might be able to get one of those folding ladders for about the same price you would pay to get a ladder installed on the HT. We have a SuperLite HT 26.5 RLS and a regular 8' step ladder will not fit inside the storage bay in the front of the trailer. A fold-up one would be great and that's what we will probably buy some time in the future. By the way, we really like our HT.

Quahog, that wasn't what I was thinking about, but what a great idea. Now, if they would put one together for those of us who are approaching or exceeding the 225 pound limit, that would be great. I know, somewhere in the literature it says 250, but the specs say 225. Any other sites selling something for those of us that are height challenged, so to speak.

They make a 780P version for the bigger boys that's rated for 300 lbs.

Why no ladder
We just purchased a Super Lite HT 26.5 rks and I do miss not having a ladder. We had one on our previous Jayco TT. Forgive me that I don't remember which floorplan you're looking at, but with ours, there is a window and the two vents for the fridge. That's most likely why there is no ladder. Other plans have the fridge vents on the side, but the ladder might interfere with bathroom vents or skylight. Just a guess.

I take along one of these 13ft multi purpose ladders when I go camping, and I like the feature that it can be used as a step ladder minimizing having to lean it up against the TT. It actually folds up compact for it's extended size capability...., plus I can use it around the house.

My guess would be that since it is a superlite for Half Ton trucks is that the roof was not built as a full walk on. If so you need to make sure that you are on a truss when on the roof.
Just a guess

Another thought. The entire back end of this model is window. Not sure how a ladder would be attached to the RV.

When we were looking last year for our new fiver we saw some new Lite trailers from Open Range. They had a full back window and a ladder that when not needed, the part below the top of the window line detached and stowed in the basement. Thats having your cake and eating it too.

Steve, that's really cool. They make a good product from what I've seen.

Our Eagle Lite also has no ladder, and when ?ed about it we were told the body moldings on the top are unable to accept a ladder. I do have a collapable ladder and I wash my top 2 a year and the roof is very stable.

Looking to buy our first 5th wheel. The 26.5 Super Lite. Anything you find that you don't like in it? What are your favorite things you like?
