Anything to broaden the footprint will work. There is a set of plastic pads http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...FRSFfgodi1kAUg that come in a set, or 4X8 (or larger) blocks work and raise the foot off the ground some at the same time but take up room in your truck bed or storage compartment. I cut a 3/4 inch stall mat into 12" squares which store nicely and give a large area of purchase. They are flexible though, so not as good on real soft surfaces.

I have seen people use inexpensive cutting boards under the landing gear. Any type of flat material that won't bend easily will work. The important thing is to widen the "footprint" of the landing gear pad. I use pads I purchased from Camping World made specifically for this.

Lynx Levelers seems to work pretty well, although they are only about 8-10" square. We have two bags of 10 in our FW and use them for the front and rear jacks and to level the FW as well. If you can find them on Facebook, sometimes they have a giveaway of various things.

In real soft ground I usually lay a 2 x 10 or 2 x 12 x 10 Ft across the front landing gear to tie them into one another. To get them even with one another I keep a piece of 5/4 scrap decking which usually gets me within the 1/2 inch or less of one another on the descend.

If you are in an area where the ground is currently frozen it's best to make the footprint as wide as possible.
