I had a light switch fail on a double switch for the bathroom fan and overhead lights. Thought I would have to replace the whole double switch. However, I took it out and realized each individual switch could be popped out so only one would have to be replaced. I bought two just in case for a total of $8 to replace the one bad one. Not much of a project at all once you get over the fears of breaking something prying the switch cover off! Just kill the power and use some needle nose pliers to pull off the connectors. Squeeze the tabs in on the end of the switch and it will pop right out. Squeeze the new one in and plug the connectors back on the tabs, replace and you are ready to go.
That's nice to know and where did you source the switches from?
Switches came from my local rv dealer, teamrvinc.com. Those switches seem to be a common problem so they had plenty in stock! Could probably be bought cheaper online but for $8 for the two of them, and I knew they were the right ones! Some times hard to tell online if they are the right ones or not!
Light switch has rockers for interior lights, power step, exterior lights, and there is one blank that has a cover.
Interior lights will not work. Fuse had blown. I replaced that. No joy.
Detached switch from wall. Interior lights blade connector was blackened, so I believe I need to replace the switch itself. I was able to unplug the blade connector.
I don't see how to remove only the rocker for the interior lights. Can you help?
Switches should come out individually, at least they did on mine. Sometimes it is hard to pull the wire off. In fact, If I remember correctly, I had to use a pair of pliers to grab hold of and pull the wire off the switch blade.
