Looking to purchase Eagle HT 29.5BHDS

Been in the market for a fifth wheeler and think I've settled on the 29.5BHDS. Camped a lot in my father-in-laws fifth wheeler but with grandkids on the way have decided to get my own. Had been planning to get a lightweight travel trailer and pull it with my Grand Cherokee. After much research went out and bought a 2004 Ford F-350 6.0 diesel.

Any suggestions on the trailer or options I should look for? We expect to do mostly weekend trips with family, and eventually take it on longer trips after retirement.

Appreciate all feedback.

Welcome to the forum and congrats becoming Jayco owners soon. I would recommend getting the biggest A/C units you can. When you have several people in an RV on a hot day, you will be glad you paid the little extra for the maximum A/C that they offer. Have fun!

I purchased the HT 29.5BHDS at the end of last summer but am waiting till this May to pick it up. So having not used it yet I have no comments other that both DW and I loved the floor plan as well as the outside kitchen. I can't wait to pick it up and head out on my first tour.

I purchased the 29.5BHDS in November and love it. I pull it with a 2013 F150 With no problems. You should love the trailer it's great. Not sure where you are purchasing it from but remember there's more to consider than the purchase price, think service or warranty. Do not buy from Orlando RV or apparent companies as you will be disappointed in their service. Several issues noted during PDI and as of today still not corrected.. I'm easy going but really, almost 5 months and can not get it fixed or an answer as to when it will be repaired. Sorry for rambling, you will thoroughly appreciate the layout and quality. Enjoy

I upgraded to 16 inch wheels. Option cost a bit as it includes heavier duty axle, but thought it was worth it. Just got home from third straight weekend camping and trailer is everything we hoped it would be.

My wife and I are currently working on a deal with a dealer in Arizona and hope our loan will be approved this week. We've looked at other brands and options, and ended up back to this Jayco model.

You'll have no regrets. Just wrapped up our summer camping season and winterized trailer (drawback of lining in New England). We love our Jayco.

We are picking our 2016 Eagle HT 29.5 BHDS up tomorrow. We will be towing with a 2015 Tundra 4x4 with the 5.7 db cab. I added Timbrens to help with the squat.

We finalized our deal with our dealer in AZ and will take delivery of it next weekend. Both the wife and I have been looking at this model for months and we can't wait to pick up the grand kids next year for a long camping trip!

Can't wait to join the Jayco family!

We picked ours up yesterday, and living in New England as well, it will sit there until the spring. But that doesnt mean I wont go take a nap out there, or watch TV, or work on some mods.

Well, I guess this is a benefit living in Arizona. We camp year round and can't wait to take our first shake-down trip in December. We'll report back with our findings.

Just pick our 2016 up two weeks ago and did our first shake down last weekend! Couldn't be happier. Towing with 08 Tundra Crewmax with E-Rated tires and Firestone bags.

If anyone wants a real bargain on a 2015, you can probably make a good deal on this unit, 2015 Jayco Eagle HT 27.5RLTS. It is located at teamrvinc., in Albany, GA.
