Low Point Drain Valves

Do the "T" shaped valves need to be turned a certain way to open or close? They just seem to click up to open and the same thing to close. When you turn the top it just seems to spin around. Just checking

Our valves turn left and right and don't click or spin around.

My "T" valves pull up to open and push down to close. No spinning involved.

Our low point valves turn 90 degrees only - cross ways to line is closed, aligned with line is open. Will not spin or pull. Must be different for each model or year. Probably whatever valve is available at lowest cost to manufacturer when unit was built.

2010 Designer. My T valves pull up as well. I think they turn so easily in the up or down position so when you reach in to grab them you can get a good hold with your fingers.
