Lukewarm shower

I only get lukewarm water in the shower. The other faucets have very hot water. Any suggestions of how to fix this?

No. We bought this RV new about 3 weeks ago. The water is very hot at the other faucets so I don't think it's a problem with the heater. I'm thinking it might be some sort of regulator in the faucet but I can't figure out how to get the handle off the faucet.

Is the inside shower faucet nearby an exterior shower? If so, it is possible that the exterior shower faucet valves are open, and the small valve on the exterior faucet shower handle closed, which could allow cold water to mix with hot water making your inside shower faucet hot water luke warm.

I just checked the outside shower and the hot and cold faucets are off and the button on the showerhead is open.

So if you turn on the hot water only in the shower and wait 30 seconds or so, you get a good stream of water, but it never gets hot as the others. Correct?

Our shower takes a while to clear out the (cold) water in the lines and warm up the hot water lines.

True. It's a single handle faucet and when turned all the way to hot it gets warm enough to shower but far from being hot like the other faucets.

Hmmm... Our shower has 2 knobs. I believe the single handle faucets have some type of 'cartridge' to control and mix the flow. Sounds like a cartridge problem, but that's just a guess.

Adding to oldmans post. In residential the single handle control is a mixing valve. They have a scald proof feature. When you pop the cover plate this can be adjusted to get more hot water to pass through the valve. Don't know if RV faucets are the same but it's worth a look.

What the last two posters said. A single handle shower control will have an adjustable mixing valve somewhere. If you can get the brand of the faucet perhaps you can figure out how to make the adjustment.

This is what I have when I remove the handle. I can't remove any of these plastic pieces. Am I doing something wrong?

Residential that usually all brass. No biggie hear. See if that big plastic valve will unthread. Then you should be able to adjust the small plastic piece to allow more hot to flow.

I believe the cartridge would be underneath the large serrated cap, but hopefully someone with actual KNOWLEDGE of the fixture will respond.

While waiting for that...
You've got 2 hoses going into the fixture, correct? (The photo shows just one.) You could check the water flow into the fixture:
-Shut off the water pressure supply to the RV (at the post or the water pump)
-Remove both hoses going into the fixture
-Check for a clogged screen at the inlet of the fixture
-Secure the hoses (a helper?) so the flow is into the shower drain
-Turn on the water supply to the RV
-Check the flow rate and hot water from the hoses

There's a stop somewhere that's preventing you from making it hotter. Inside the handle perhaps?

I can't get any of those plastic pieces to move. The water is warm enough to shower but whoever says I want a warm shower?? I want a hot shower. We're on a job right now and stay in our RV but will take it to the dealer when we get back home and get them to figure it out. I appreciate all of your suggestions.

Same boat, same faucet. Did the dealer help you out any?

We live in our RV on-site during our job in the oilfield so we won't be able to take it into the dealer until April. I called though and they provided no help. We have figured out that if we take the pressure regulator off to increase the pressure we have plenty of hot water.

I would look into the possibility of changing out the whole shower faucet to a two handle job!

That trim piece has to pry off or remove somehow. It looks as though there is a screw on the lower left of the valve body if so I would remove it and then you might get the chrome trim off. Agree that the mixing valve and a limit screw are keeping it from reaching your desired temp.

My first thought when I started reading was the bypass on the WH, but since all other outlets are hot that is not the case.
