maxx air vent help

I am wanting to put 2 on my new to me 5er. The question is will the standard one work with the electric vent cover in the kitchen or do I need to buy the larger one? I will never need the vent wide open only cracked to get fresh air in. thanks

I just put a Maxx Air cover over the electric fan vent in the bathroom in our 2013 Eagle 284BHS. IIRC, Ventline was the manufacturer of the vent. I took my time making sure I measured twice and drilled once. But it went on without a hitch. The only thing I might pass along is to make sure you adjust the forward/aft position of the Maxx Air vent cover (before marking and drilling the screw holes) to ensure the vent lid can be opened to the maximum amount possible before contacting the underside of the Max Air cover.

I used the maxairII covers and they work fine. Mine came with a hinged side for cleaning. I echo the forward installation to take advantage of all the possible space for opening the flap.

I have a thermostat controlled vent in the ceiling of my kitchen. I installed a Maxair cover over it and it simply opens until the vent cover touches the Maxair and it stops. Did this on my last two units and have never had a problem.

Great! Thanks for the information. I wish I had known that sooner, I let two covers only a year old go with my old camper cause I thought they wouldn't work on this one!
I thought the Fantasic Fan dome would hit the cover and break!

we have the same 5er as you and this last fall I installed 2 of those maxair vent covers( 1 in kitchen area, and 1 in bath)for maximum ventilation during stored periods.i open the kitchen fan lid until it starts to hit the maxair vent which is close to 90 percent open. the bath fan is a manually open vent which you control until I reach a resistance with the maxair vent cover.
