thanks for all replies, looks like no one else has a problem, so we just must be the lucky ones to get the bad one. That figures! But it could be worse!
We had a microwave go bad during the warranty period on a Keystone Cougar. We were several states away from our selling dealer and I had them drop ship the replacement directly to me & I replaced it myself. All I had to return was the sticker with the serial and model number on it from the faulty microwave. Most dealers are more than willing to ship you the parts and let you do the minor repairs yourself, especially if you live a long distant away.
