Hey, Guys! I've been following the "North Point Awning Failure" thread, and tonight I decided to take a better look at mine. So far, I've determined that I have Carefree awnings. That's it..... I can't find an identifying model name or number on them, and absolutely NO paperwork for them was shipped with the unit. I can download any manual that I need from Carefree, but I need to know the model!

It's a 2016 377RLBH, like (it seems) every one else's. What model awnings are on YOUR 377's? I have six. The main patio awning, the smaller patio awning on the dinette slide, and then slide-top awnings on all four slides.

As always, THANK YOU!!!

It's a Longitude... You won't find anything on Carefree's site.
Apparently it's just for OEM.

So does anyone have a manual for it electronically? I've got an inquiry into Jayco... Maybe I'll also put one into Carefree....

I got a reply from Jayco yesterday, and they tell me that it a Travel'r that they use on the 377's. I downloaded the correct manuals from Carefree.

Funny they told me it was the Longitude that they use on the Northpoint, and Carefree confirmed this with a photo of the different styles they sell.

They are however nearly identical to each other from what I can tell so I guess it doesn't really matter.

This goes back to a much older post in this thread, about the progressive industries surge protector install.

Just curious Tom, where did you put the box that is the actual EMS 50 surge protector in you 377RLBH? I took off the cover of the circuit breaker/fuse box, and there is not an abundance of space from the front (hallway) side. Did you access the back side of it from the bunkhouse?

Thanks for the tips (Tom and everyone). Looking forward to lots of these mods on my 377RLBH.

I put the ems behind the breaker box. Remove the plastic cover (4 screws) to reveal 4 more screws that hold the breaker box in place. Then pull it out and you'll see there's plenty of room for the ems.

Awesome. I'll check it out tomorrow. Thanks for the quick reply.

I have another question, as this is my first RV and I've never installed a hardwired surge protector before. I can't imagine anything being wired from the 120 volt 50 amp service before it goes into 50 amp breakers in the breaker/fuse box there where your previous pic is (like the convertor), but is there?

I just want to confirm, as I haven't found a wiring diagram for the 377RLBH. I want to make sure installing in this location will provide surge protection to all the RV electrical systems. The only other place I could see to install it would be to take off the panel on the underside of the RV where the main plug goes in the RV (rear left) and put it there.

Thanks again.

I installed my surge protector last week before going camping. Worked good until it everyone had A/Cs going in the afternoon and it shut off power for 2hrs because of 95v in the plug.

Radjayco,

There is nothing between the outside shore power connection and the breaker box. That is the main line that provides power from the pedestal to your rig. The EMS protects your 110v circuits and anything plugged into them from spikes (or drops) in current.
