In addition I added a MaxxAirII vent cover. It doesn't allow the vent to completely open but 90% of the way and I didn't want a cover that looks like another A/C. It flips open on hinges once you pull two pins. It also has the fine mesh screen built into it to keep bugs out

The ceiling is to high for my son or wife and I can barely reach it to open it. I found this kit that upgrades and adds Wireless remote that allows you to:
Open and close
Adjust speed
Air in/out
Rain sensor
Automatically open/close and turn on/off based on temperature.
Best part you don't have to go on the roof and the original housing, fan and motor stay put. It's all plug and play with pre-attached connectors. You only have to cut and strip one end of one wire. I took my time double checking , but I could do this in 15 mins if I did it again.
I got mine on Amazon for $171.00 shipped

Ahh that's awesome! I may be getting one of those. Thanks! Do you have any negatives from the vents not being able to open all the way?

I did that to my main fan. Not the remote model but the wall control with temperature and reverse. Got it direct from the helpful ladies at Fantastic for $70
Then I put the main fan, that I replaced, with the simple wall control in the bathroom so it would have a rain sensor and more speed control.
I made a thread about it.
Also Hoojs did you inspect your vent stack caps while you were up there?

Not at all, it opens as far as the manual ones in our last RV. Honestly if you didn't go on the roof you wouldn't even know.

Anything I can do to help spur the economy!
I thought it odd the bathroom vent, the one we use the most is not easy to use for the vertically challenged .

Last time out, had a problem with the pantry door opening, and stuff falling from the shelves. In looking closely at it, I'm not sure that a box of pancake mix didn't fall from the shelf FIRST, and hit the lever handle on the door, allowing the door to open..... Others suggested jamming a pillow between the island and the door while traveling, to keep the door from swinging open. That I'll do, but we also wanted to ensure that stuff stayed on the shelves, and that the drawers stayed shut.....
A $20 elastic tailgate net from AutoZone, a small supply of cup-hooks, and PROBLEM SOLVED!!!
We had already done the same, using three tailgate nets, on the shelves in the nose closet.

For me to leave my country house to get to any sort of smooth road I have to go over a lot of bumpy, uneven country roads and ridiculously bumpy railroad crossings.
Never had any pantry trouble. There's pancake mix in there too.
I keep having the "forget to lock the residential fridge" problem though.

When stuff fell off shelf, and door opened in transit, some of the "frost" rubbed off of the glass, as the boxes wedged between the shelf and the door.... Wife is trying "frost spray paint" in an effort to fix it. I already have plans to just pull the trim, and re-glaze it....

When you've been married as long as I have (39 years) there are some questions that you just don't ask..... It's the wife's project....

That's exactly what I'm looking for, and for the same reason! My fan is a MaxxFan model though: any idea if it'd still work? My guess is no,

Just finished doing mine this afternoon. Tom the stain color is a near perfect match...Thank you.
My only problem will come later with my wife observers the mess I left for her to clean up! I figured it would be easier cleanup, since it's so HOT here right now, most of the wood particles and dust were stuck to my puddles of sweat!
