The vent is the cold air return for the furnace

Klassic. Excellent. Thank you. I am going to board that thing up in the morning then. Seeing that I will not be using the heat ANYtime soon. Also, today I was Using the outside cook area and when that area is open there is apparently no separation from the backside of that area (wall with the back of fridge) and the inside. I could see daylight clear as.... Day (pun). Literally had no separation from inside and outside. AC was screaming and temp and humidity darn near identical to outside until I closed it off.

That seams a little dumb. I guess they figure everything is closed up if you're using the heat.
The vent is needed because of the furnace placement. In some rigs the furnace is under the smaller RV style fridge and the cold air vent is right there, making it very noisy.
With the furnace placed where it in in our rigs makes it quieter but I would say lacking in efficiency when hatches are open.

I never would have thought it was affecting your AC that much.
Report back if you can get the inside even cooler after you block it off.

They are all Camco products, available on Amazon:

Camco 42153 RS-700 refregerator screens (need two sets for Norcold slide mounted fridge)
Camco 42144 FUR-500 furnace vent screen
Camco 42145 WH-500 water heater screen

The only thing better than a simple mod is a COMPLETED simple mod! The Camco bug covers arrived from Amazon today, so I couldn't STAND seeing the box just sitting here, so I installed them this evening. They only give you two tie-wraps per 27" strip on the fridge bug covers. Fortunately, I had a package of the same size tie-wraps in my shop, so I used five per strip! Easy mod. All completed in less than 45 minutes.

The say that they are to prevent mud-daubers from moving in. We don't get too much mud-dauber activity, but around here, there are NASTY yellow-jackets that LOVE locations like the inside of fridge vents or water heater vents to build nests...

Nice job Instructor.
How does the screen on the furnace stay on?
I have mud daubers and wasps like crazy here.
They never attacked my SOB before, but I'm keeping an eye on this one.
First sign of infestation and a screen is going on.

Mine was designed to be held on by two little spring clips. They give you a simple tool with the kit to install the cover. In actuality, the round cover was a snug fit over square vent, and it "snapped" on. I used the spring clips, anyway, but I don't think that it could easily come off, just with the snapping effect....

Anyone swapped out the outside shower for the kind that has the quick connect coiled hose? Seems like it's the same size faucet.

klassic - your discharge comes off of the face of the faucet, rather than the top. Did you change-out the faucet?
