Mods to 377 RLBH?

I'll be anxious to see how my trailer will stop after the dealer fixes my brakes. Lucky for me I don't have that option on my truck. I'd probably forget to set it right as well

The only positive thing that I can say from all of this is that I physically took apart and inspected my brakes and don't have a problem there...at least not until the cheapo seals blow.

Well you could at least be proactive on your next maintenance and get some good seals. I'm with you, taking everything apart to inspect it all was a very good way to get to know your trailer inside and out!

Dan/Tom- What brand/color stain are you using to match wood?

Thanks, going to do the cubby hole in bunk house mod. Actually have several mods to install soon as I get it back from warranty work. New 7000w Onan gen, backup/monitor camera, cargo tv mount, new outdoor shower/coil hose, tire minder TPMS and set of Sailun tires.

Thanks again...

Best thing on that list is getting the Sailun , imho

Also forgot to mention new aftermarket brake controller I installed on TV to see if I get improved braking.

Are you having braking issues? Take off the wheels and inspect the drums. Some of us with poor braking had grease contamination

I have been following the thread in regards to all the findings relative to the braking issues. Always felt the rv brakes were on the weak side, when I bought the rv had the dealer double check to make sure they were working correctly and they were "OK".
I will check the drums/brakes while I have the wheels off to install the new tires.
Unlike Dan's new Ram, the 2011's don't have the ability to choose heavy electric so I installed a P3 which has multiple setting.

I have a suspicion that your dealer saying everything was "ok", didn't do that thorough of an inspection. Kinda like what Klassic was going through. Mine seemed to work ok at first. Wasn't until I upgraded trucks that I noticed the poor performance

just trying to put all pieces together for my brake check when my new tires will arrive.

What's the cotterpin size used on the bolt ?

I could buy a kit with about 300 pieces of different size ( stainless steel)..

also what is the reference of the back seal on the 7000 lbs axle.

Yup. They probably took off my one wheel that didn't have grease and said good.
I have read about 2011 Rams having controller problems though.
You could be on the right track Jamie

Thierry

I was looking at those the other day. I suggested them to someone who was considering the IS system as a more affordable alternative. Why don't you get them to test so we can get your results? Lol

I've been pondering those for a couple years.

except they had probably a gas line on the frame on one side looks like an easy install.

Love when you see the guy's lying down under the axles like that... Men they should think twice before putting they life one the line...
