I'm looking to add a genny to mine. But, mine wasn't prepped for it so I'm going to have to do some modifications [emoji3]

That will make it a little tougher. When we bought ours it was already on order as a stock unit, but I had the dealer call and change the order to add the gen prep option. Didn't want to have to run wires, add transfer swtich, etc.
The only part that was a little difficult was getting the generator in the compartment. It pretty heavy and kinda awkward to slide it in without damaging something. Other than that pretty simple...

Its pretty quite, inside the bedroom with AC unit running you can't really here the gen.

I just replaced after 1 year. I'll probably try to stick with annually.

I did mine after a year as well. But I guess it depends how often you camp or if you're full time. Camping once a month, I'd say change yearly. Full timing, probably every 2-3 months.

Wouldn't it be great IF you didn't have to wait 3 weeks to get in to a dealer?

That really can make you angry..........seems most of the dealers are sooooooooooooo busy.

That's what I really hate about them the most. Then you have to wait more for any needed parts. Hell half the time seems dealers have your RV more than you do.

I was VERY fortunate! This is the third unit that i've had that the Roto's fit in. Gotta remember to install them AFTER leveling, and remove them BEFORE putting the weight back on the tires, because otherwise they will jamb TIGHT in between.... Go ahead, ask me how I know this..... LOL!!

Well as stated her is today's minor mod adding Furrion camera. Has really good distance in driveway but haven't towed with it yet. Rest of day was spend mowing and trimming trees. Can't all be fun on the weekends.

Hi, Guys! It's been QUITE a while since I've been logged-on to this (or ANY) forum! Between a HUGE project on my F/T job which will be DONE in about one more month, and trying to get my P/T business caught-up, there hasn't been much time at ALL to even THINK about the 5er or camping! The GOOD news is that yesterday, I pulled it to the dealer for a couple of minor fixes that I wanted done before the warranty expires in the fall.

So, in an effort to catch-up, I read about 45 pages on thins thread tonite... Lots of great ideas that intend to steal! The outside kitchen mod and the shoe-cubby are definites! The one that I'm curious on is the background and need for the X-Brace / wet bolt mod. Is this discussed in more detail elsewhere? Were folks having problems particular to the 377? Where can I learn more about this one?

And, BTW, feels GREAT to be back!

Fire for me the X-Brace and wet bolt mod is more of preventative maintenance for the suspension. I know that Tom said that his were starting to elongate and that's why he did the upgrade. I've read up on the wet bolt kit and it is highly recommended, especially with how heavy our units are. Honestly Jayco should have put them on from the get go.

We just all follow Tom...we don't ask questions...Just follow Tom and all will be good! LOL!

The wet bolts and shackles will be standard on the 2018's.

Welcome back fire instructor! For me, the wet bolts were a needed upgrade. I didn't know it when I ordered them but when I replaced them, one of my shackles were getting elongated. I got the X factor brace as prevention for any future problems as well as some added stability.

So how do I figure out what I need to order? Did you do the X-brace at all three locations? Or just the center?

I did just the center. There's bracing on the ends of the leaf springs from the factory. I got wet bolt kit and brace from Amazon

So it looks like there are two different X-brace options, and four shackle kits for tandem wheels.... I just need to figure out which to order. My trailer is at dealer, so it'll have to wait until I get it back, to figure out what I have!
