Sounds familiar. I have a LONG list, still. Wife looks at it from time to time, picks something out and I go to town with it. Just don't have the funds I used to have a few years ago.

I really hope to make it over yall's way at some point Tom. Would love to give you a hand on a mod or 2.

Just finished installing a 2nd battery to run parallel with the other. I just bought the same Interstate Battery that came with the unit. I also turned on the inverter to get the fridge cold for our departure tomorrow...I also have a battery tender on the batteries. Sorry, no pics...I figured it's pretty straight forward of a "how to".

You have the residential fridge and your dealer didn't install 2 batteries to start with? Ours came with 2 deep cell to keep the fridge cold for 17 hours without shore power!

Yep...Don't think I didn't ask. They said every unit they sell comes with 1 battery unless you pay for more. They wanted $130 for a 2nd battery. I knew I could get one cheaper else where!

Today I installed a Samsung soundbar. Sounds great! It was a PITA hooking it up though. Actually ended up removing the fireplace to get to the connections and the 110 outlet. You'll need a splitter or surge strip because the outlet only has 1 receptacle

Here is the soundbar. It fits in the little space in front of the tv. I reinforced the shelf to support the weight. It's Velcro'd in and I move it and set it on the counter when in use.

I put the subwoofer next to the couch. Fits nicely.

I thought the wife had kiboshed any more $$ mods.
Or was that my wife
Is that the Samsung f450?

Awesome mod!!

Will the sound bar mount nicely to trim piece above the fireplace?

Actually she did put the kibosh on my mods. Luckily we were shopping at Sams and she saw it and said it would be nice to get for the trailer. Of course I agreed since now it was "her" mod. [emoji3]

It's the HW-HM45C.

You could mount it there, but the contours of the molding would make it more of a challenge. The mounts are pretty close together. It's meant to be mounted on a flat wall surface. That's why I put it where I did. Another thing that I discovered is the TV doesn't have an hdmi out or optical out (stereo has optical in, only 1 hdmi out being used for DVD player) so I had to hook it up thru the headphone jack [emoji22]
Still sounds 10x better than the factory speakers but it could be even better.

But that model has an hdmi in and out
Can't you go from the dvd to the hdmi in then to the tv via the hdmi out?

Mods to 377 RLBH?

Didn't think to do it that way. Maybe I'll try it to see if it works better. I wanted to be able to play the radio thru the soundbar, as well as the tv thru the soundbar. Seems like I'd need to have the tv on if I only wanted music from the radio. I'll try to switch the wiring and see what happens.

377 Outside Compartment with Mini Fridge and Cooktop

We get our 377RLBH next month. I am seriously considering removing the mini fridge and cooktop and using the compartment for storage for my power cord, 50 amp extension cord and all of the cord attachments. Has anyone done that? Any down side other than no fridge and cooktop?

Also want to add a strut to keep the door open instead of fumbling with the hook on the outside wall. if you have added a strut to this door, what lbs. pressure strut did you get?

Thanks in advance.

I took the fridge out. Haven't decided on the cooktop yet. I was thinking of a magnetic catch instead of a strut. We had them in our previous rig and they worked well. I don't like that latch for the outdoor kitchen at all.

You would use one of these (some are cheaper) from rear speaker line of the Furrion radio (the manual is on line) to your Samsung via an rca to 1/4" or 1/8" adapter cable.
And change the Samsung input to "aux" to listen to the radio though the sound bar and shut off the other ceiling speakers, (or leave them on), and leaving the rear speaker channel on. NOTE... The rear ceiling speakers won't be used anywhere more...you are disconnecting the speaker line on the back of the Furrion.
Robot Check

Hook up the hdmi from the Furrion radio to the Samsung then to the tv via the hdmi in/out
Change Samsung input to "hdmi" to watch dvd's. The dvd sound will still be coming out the ceiling speakers like normal. Shut them off. Probably sound better through the hdmi and the sound bar.

Get one of these to go from the rca audio out of the tv to the optical in of the Samsung when you want to watch tv channels
Change the input on the Samsung to "optical"
Robot Check

Should all work
