Here's my first "mod". Very minor but needed imo. Added a strut to the overhead cabinet doors so they'll stay up when open. They didn't come with any from the factory.

I noticed that when looking at ours today. I thought that was weird and maybe a hinge needed to be tightened up. I wasn't going to say anything until the walk thru next friday.

Nice! I've had mine for a while now... Just haven't installed them.
I think I bought ones with too much pressure

Tom - Where did you get the strut from and do you have a part number? Did you put one in the bunk room, as well as the living area?

Dan

Sorry - Trying to learn as much as I can before we take possession next Friday.

The faucets look really nice! My husband plans to do the same to our cabinet doors as well. We also want to replace the shower fixture. Not really crazy about the white one that came with the camper.

Sound bars are much better than the factory speakers but you might want to consider these. Take up more space but if you have the room, the sound quality will be a night and day difference.

Like the 2015 Pinnacles had, I put in a Dyson V6.
It's easier to grab off of its charging mount that is on the wall of the closet.
The central vac hose is a PITA to get from a drawer or the floor of a cupboard. Then grab a cheap plastic attachment, plug the hose in and drag it around, grind it around the island, hoping the suction will be good enough to pick stuff up out of the carpet.

I've had the DirtDevil previously and now this Eureka. The suction is only slightly decent when there is a new bag installed. The DirtDevil was slightly better.

The vacuum floor pan in the 2016's is handy though, it will get used...as will the outside port to vacuum the storage. Otherwise the Dyson is much easier to vacuum with and does a way better job.
Plus it always has power even when the rig isn't on shore power.

Today, I installed my EMS 50 surge protector and my king jack antenna. Next up: JT Strongarms and sewer hose storage.

LOL! Here's a pic. Btw,

Took me about 30 minutes but it was my second time installing one (I took it out of my old trailer to reuse in this one)

Do yourself a favor and go to lowes or Home Depot and get a 2' piece of wire. I think it's 6 gauge, with red, black, white and ground inside. Makes installation much easier as there isn't enough room or slack in the trailer wire to splice the ems into.

Thanks Tom...I'm a very visual learner. Maybe I'll just drive down from Frisco and come for a visit after I pick mine up on Friday. BTW, any pointers for the PDI??

No problem Dan. I'll take some pics tomorrow.
As for the PDI, get a PDI checklist (plenty available online), and take your time. Don't let the excitement of the new rig distract you. You could also video the demonstration as a way to remember how things work that you aren't familiar with.

Dan

Here is a picture of the breaker box. The 50 amp breaker has the 6/3 wire attached to it. You will remove these wires and attach them to your EMS on the input side. The EMS will have labels for red, black and white. You will connect your 2' piece of 6/3 wire that you got from lowes to the output side of the EMS and the other end to the breaker box. Be sure to connect it the same way you took it apart. I'm no electrician, I just make sure to put the right color wire in the right place. Make sure you are not plugged into shore power before you do any of this.

It's pretty easy and the EMS has instructions written better than I can explain

Thanks Tom! I'm no electrician either...but my father-in-law is! Sounds like he may come in handy after all.

FYI...Having hitch and airbags installed tomorrow. Pick up RV on Friday. I'll take pictures and post after.

Thanks again,
Dan
