Mor Ryde Rubber Pin Box?

We are in process of replacing our tired 2006 fifth wheel. Looking at an HT 29.5 BHDS.

I see the option for a Mor Ryde rubber pin box. I've watched a video on it that tells me how great it is, but I was curious about real world experiences. Any one have one? Would you get it again? Does it work as advertised?

We'll probably use our Pull rite super glide hitch with it and it looks like they make a special capture plate for it. Especially curious how it acts with a sliding hitch if anyone else has that setup.

Thanks for any feedback!

The Mor-Ryde was standard on our Eagle Premier and I certainly felt the difference.

I have a Mor-Ryde but have never towed with anything else to have a comparison. A friend bought a Pinnacle a couple of years ago that had the standard pin box. After conversations with others and a year towing he replaced the pin box with a Mor-Ryde. Now he had towed with the Mor-Ryde for a season and is very pleased with the change.

Had my first unit without and the chucking was horrible. I then installed the Mor-Ryde and what a difference. Second unit ordered from the factory with the option and would not do otherwise.

I've had both, and I believe the Mor Ryde is far superior to the alternative.

On both of my last 2 SOB's, I had the TrailAir pin boxes. Those worked fantastic! The last unit had the TrailAir tri-glide and that made the 14000 pound unit ride nice!! Now, have the Mor Ryde. I was skeptical at first but, decided to give it a try. What little towing I have done so far, I have been pretty surprised. However, once we start heading to FL in the spring, we won't hesitate to go back to the TrailAir in a heart beat if we don't like the ride we are getting. Time will tell.

I pull a 2011 Pinnacle 36 REQS with a Mor Ryde pin box, I first pulled with a Reese 16K SuperGlide, pulled ok, just recently purchased a new 2015 Ford Super Duty and installed the PullRite Superglide, with the required capture plate, pulls great. I also had a Mor Ryde on a 2007 Montana 3400 RL/

We have a MorRyde pin box and Pullrite Superglide hitch and they work well together. One reason we got the MorRyde is because of the Pullrite capture plate that fits it. Be aware that there are nylon blocks that come with the Pullrite capture plate that restrict the side to side movement of the MorRyde (so that the Pullrite Superglide hitch will work properly) but not the fore and aft movement.

MorRyde is superior to others in my opinion. We have had a few on previous fifth wheels, and combined with a good suspension, they are a dream to tow with. As in leaving breakables on the dining table there only to find them still there when arriving at campground, unbroken in the same spot.

Thanks for the input everyone. We'll include that on our order. I see that Mor Ryde make a special capture plate for our Pull rite. Should make things easy!

Thanks again.

I have had three 5ers two without MorRyde hitch pins and one with. All the RV's were close to the same weight. The MorRyde was most noticeable in stop and go traffic and some rough roads. I had the Pullrite hitch in one truck and it alone was smoother than the standard hitch. The adapter plate on the Pullrite has a closer pin tolerance which I believe takes up some of the pin slop. I would not buy another 5er without the MorRyde hitch.

I'm bringing this post back to life.

I'm glad to hear that the members using a Morryde Pin Box and the Pull Rite SuperGlide are happy with the combination. This is my plan. But after measuring the pin box length and it being over 24" I'm worried about the clearance between the pin box and the sides of the truck box. Someone else was saying they had a clearance issue with the tailgate. I'm not following that issue with the SuperGlide because it doesn't move back until you are turning.

It would be great if those that have this setup would comment on the clearance.

2016 Eagle 323LKTS w/ MORryde Pin Box.
Wanting to use the Pull rite SuperGlide hitch.

Thanks

I got the same truck, you won't have a problem, I got the ISR Series Custom Mounting Kit P/N 2724 which is a solid mount.
