I have the same truck, with the Mor-Ride and Reese 20k slider. I've used the slider in my driveway as I have to almost jackknife to get the unit in there, bit I was surprised at how tight I could turn before I was going to make contact with the cab.
As far as the auto-leveling (Ground Control 3.0) goes, so far so good. I do have to place blocks under one of the rear jacks (low spot in the driveway) to give the jack enough "throw", but I generally use something under the jacks to distribute the weight a little better anyway.

Cdash, how is the bedrail clearance on your TV? I just ordered the 29.5 BHOK and looking for a tow vehicle. All the trucks seems so high.

If you have a 4x4 it will be high. Get the 16" wheels and larger tires and have the dealer put the leaf springs in the lower holes. That should get you most of the way there. If you are still way off then tell the dealer to 'fix it'. Some have had a new subframe installed (between $500 and $1000 job).
Ours tows about 5" nose high with the 15" wheels. I will get the bigger wheels next.
Hitches. I have never needed to use the manual slide on my Reese hitch. Just watch the turns. Contrary to many my only close calls have been while going FORWARD. Gas stations are the biggest hazard with their tight turns. Now days I use Flying J RV pumps or truck pumps.
Never saw a need for the 'shock absorbing' hitches on these small trailers. Yep, you can feel the hitch every now and then.
I may try the Anderson hitch in the near future. Getting tired of that hunk of steel in the bed of the truck. I've also thought about the Reese gooseneck pinbox which is approved by Lippert.

PS leveling system.
The auto levelers are nice (we do not have them on our current trailer). If in a not very level spot you still need some blocks so just pay attention when you pull in.
But, if you don't change spots very often they are overkill. I can level just fine with my old fashioned ones (and I have a remote for that too)

tow vehicle thoghts
Just found a 2014 F-250 Lariat crew cab with the 6.2. It is rated for 12,100 FW. Any thoughts on this for towing an Eagle HT 29.5 BHOK (11,000 loaded/1740 dry hitch)?

The only thing my truck needed was overload springs. Also found it was 'easy' to get a pin weight of 2000lb
PS at one time I considered getting a gasser for this trailer. Should pull it fine but might struggle a bit in the mountains.

Eagle HT 29.5BHDS
We bought ours in July, it is a late 2017 model, built in April 2017.
It came with the 16-inch rims and Goodyear, Endurance tires. We got the Super Glide hitch for our 2004 Chevy 2500 Silverado, diesel 4X4 crew cab. It also came with the self-leveling 'system 3.0' with the small control panel.
As we had recently gotten back from our vacation when we upgraded so we've only had a 'shake-down' weekend trip with it so far for a 3-day weekend. The campground we stayed at had slopes of varying degrees in almost all of its spots. Our spot was fairly steep and it took both of our camping block kits to get the back end level with the system, the front was very low to be level and from what I've heard and learned, it was best to use manual mode on the inside tablet or the phone app for the rear (4 points) leveling legs on areas not level as bad as this campsite was.
The auto level was not used and I just used the tablet display to level the RV and that worked great. At home, where it is flat, the auto level works great and this is the first RV we've ever had with an automatic leveling system. I wish ours had come with the Mor-Ryde hitch and I am planning on getting one before next spring. But we love the RV and the Super Glide hitch.

I haven't measured, but I ordered with 16" wheels, had the dealer drop springs to the lowest holes in the hangers and dropped the pin box down too. I probably have 7". In comfortable with it. I wanted as much as possible because we get into some twisty areas at times.
