New 2014 Jayco 31.5 RLTS
Just traded my 2009 Jayco superlite 2009 314 BHS for a 2014 Jayco 31.5 RLTS, It came with options, 15,000 btu a/c, 2nd bedroom a/c, cargo tray system, fireplace, thermal pane tinted windows, solid surface counter tops, 2 recliners. It also had new upgrades, 2 sky lights, new floor colors and wallpaper. Third camper but first fifth wheel. Left at dealer to add slide out covers and vent covers. Any one have this trailer. Any feedback or suggestions. Also had Husky fifth wheel hitch with slider installed in 2011 Ford 250, 6.7 diesel. I assume this tv will handle without trouble. Cant wait to get started.

I have the 33.5rets 5er, a little different floor plan but similar in size and options. Pulled it home yesterday with a 5.7 Hemi Ram 2500 into a fairly strong wind. The gasser did a great job. With your diesel you won't even feel that trailer behind you; you are going to really enjoy towing a 5er opposed to a travel trailer.

We just signed all the papers and bought this same camper this weekend. We only have a sky light over the shower...but we have most of the other options you listed (only 1 ac) Where is the other skylight located on yours?

I feel certain he's talking about a skylight similar to this in the living room area. This one is in the center of the kitchen and there's another above the dinette.

We just bought a 30.5 RLS.
No issues pulling with the dodge 2500 6.7 cummins diesel.
We did add air bags to the rear to help keep her level. Makes a big difference

skylight is over dinette table and in Kitchen area. Was told by dealer that this was a upgrade that would come out on 2015. Not sure if true. Not the same light as what was in the other 2014

Dealer said it would take about 2 weeks to get slide covers in and put on. Have not hooked 250 to it yet. Was gonna wait and see if I need to add air bags. What brand do you have.

Congratulations!!!!!! We have the same unit except it's a 2011.. I sure wish that we had your windows!!! You should love the unit. We certainly do ours. The thermapane windows would be a must on the next unit. In either hot or cold conditions those windows are well worth the price. You will have no trouble pulling that 5th wheel with your Ford. The whole rig is a dream to pull!!!! if you haven't pulled a 5th wheel before, be careful pulling around fuel pumps for the first few times. You need a wider swing then a travel trailer. Enjoy and have fun!!!!

I have a pair of Timbren suspension helpers on my rear axle. Had them on last truck too and they are really a great invention. They look like an air bag kinda, but they are somewhat hollow and made of rubber I think. You simply take out the stock bump stops on the truck, and bolt these in there place. They don't contact the axle when empty, but when loaded they level the truck off and smoothen the ride. They are under $200 and easy to install, and also maintenance free.

Congrats. I have a 2013 31.5 RLTS. Sounds like your unit is similar to mine expect the upgraded windows. I wish mine had the upgraded windows because the standard windows seem thin - particularly the big picture window in the rear. I pull mine with a 2005 F250 powerstroke and don't have an issue. I had the Timberens but then swapped them out for Firestone RideRite to give more support.

thanks chas111, I am waiting on mine to see if I am going to need to add the Ride Rite bags. Do you have them to level truck or help with ride? Do you have the air compressor on board. Is it needed.

Welcome to the forums and congrats on the new Jayco. We have the same model. In fact, we are currently taking our 5er on a 2 year journey RV'ing throughout the U.S.. We did have Jayco remove the dining table and install another couch. They also shipped us a kitchen island, which we love (matches our kitchen countertops). Don't understand why this model didn't come with one. Happy and safe travels.

I don't have the air compressor. I manually aid air to 44 lbs unloaded and then hook up the trailer. I use the ride-rites to level the truck. And it does ride nice when loaded. Unloaded, I let all the air out.
