New 377 RLBH

I just placed a down payment on a new 2017 North Point RLBH that will be coming in the end of the month. I did not have the opportunity to see this unit in person. I had two questions for anyone who has the same unit: Does the master bedroom closet come with a rod to hang clothes? And if you have the king bed do you need to charge and keep your phones on the dresser at night? It doesn't look like there would be any place at the side of the bed. Thanks!

Yes it comes with a closet rod. Can't answer king bed question but looking at how mine is built, I'd say you're probably right thinking there's not enough room for "nightstands"

Ours came with 2 closet rods. We use the lower for our daughter.

With the queen size bed the "night stands" are pretty small as is, so with a king it would have to be the dresser. Fortunately there are 2 charge ports and a 12 volt plugin up there.

Walking room around the queen bed is sufficient. I don't know that I personally would want a king up there.

You said it!! My thoughts exactly, 2 rods and queen is big enough plus I like being that close to my DW

I've got the King and there are no nightstands, but there are still the outlets on both sides of the bed and there is a void where the plywood overhangs off the base above the slide. My wife and I charge our phones by the bed and have our iWatches charging on the dresser, I think its perfect! My only complaint about the bedroom is that the slide should have been 6-8 inches longer so that the bed wasn't so close to the dresser! Welcome and Congrats on the buy!

We have a 2017 377RLBH, #0053, delivered May 27, 2016. I've got the queen bed, now about the closet rods-- there are two, an upper and lower, and both right side wooden pole sockets have split in transit causing a collapse due to the weight of all our shirts, pants, etc. hitting terrible interstate highway joints. I replaced them myself with plastic ones from Home Depot along with a washer to not slip thru the screw hole. Since wooden pole sockets are thicker than the plastic ones, a 1/4" shim is needed to reuse the factory wooden rod as it becomes too short. I was able to reuse what was left of both wooden pole sockets as a shim. All is well again and we've since hit seemingly more terrible highway joints and both rods have held. You don't want a sliding clothes rod hanging in a moving vehicle. And fortunately, I've not had any problems with the left side wooden pole sockets. I've kept the other half of the plastic pair just in case. 8,600 Miles and counting...and still on the original Rainier tires. We'll be upgrading those shortly due to all the posted concerns. You are going to love your 377!
