New Puppy

I mentioned in another post we have a new puppy. Here is Abigail - our newest Scottie at 10 days. She was the lone puppy in the litter, so she is destined to be spoiled rotten.

BTW, she went camping with us last weekend.

Wow! How kewl!

One time camping three years ago, we had our little Breezi when she was 6 weeks old. When people walked by or when we went for a walk and took her with us, we could have sold her 7x! (May be a great way to find your little Scottie a new family!) Funny thing, her first litter she had only one pup too. (We kept that little sweetie, but she got car sick and couldn't travel so we had to sell her! *pout*). Thanks for sharing.... post another pic before you sell her!

Nothing like RV'ing with the mutts. Since retirement, the wife and I have gone to the dawgs !! Good looking pup there. Is that unusual to only have one in the litter?

We love our two Daschunds. The dapple one is like looking at a freckled faced kid. They have great personalities.

Yes, we originally thought it would be 4 or 5 (normal litter) but she aparently absorbed the others. It's actually harder with just 1 because she doesn't have siblings to play with. Plus the baby was so large we had to do a C section.

Wow a c-section....!

Not attempting to steal the thread, but I just have to brag on our newest addition. We got "Cocoa" back in November after his owner passed away. He's 2 years old and our "freckled faced", "red-headed step-child".

maybe we need to start a new forum for "why dogs are better than people". I've not met many dogs I didn't like.

There are a lot of different breeds. I think most of the Daschund personalities are really great. Our oldest, Hank, has a huge vocabulary. We have to spell around him sometimes. He just understands too much!!

Think I'm nutz now, huh ? Ha ha!!

Jim, that's so funny *memory mode*. We had a terrier 1989-2003. He was pretty bright also. Don even had him doing police sniffer dog stuff (hide a bisquit in a room and he had to find it and sit down once he did find it). Never needed a leash, he always heeled on command. We also had to start spelling different things in front of him. The one I remember most was when we were going someplace that we couldn't take him, we avoided saying "go" or "outta here" etc, etc. We went to spelling out "b-y(e), b-y(e)" but within weeks, he had that down too. Currently our little Breezi is smart but we have been getting away with spelling
