New Sailun s637 tires... hp valve stems

Hey everybody, so my new s 637's came in and I went to install them today with a new high pressure valve stems only to find out that the high pressure valve stems will not work in my T02 Wheels even though they are rated at 1:10 PSI. The hole in the wheel is not big enough to get a socket in to tighten down the bolt in valve stem. Has anyone else had this problem.

Look for a thin wall socket.

I don't think the T02 wheels are rated for 110 psi.
You can call Tredit tire & wheel (who supply them) and they can tell you.
If I remember correctly, the T02 wheels are the only ones not rated for 110psi

On the website all of their 8 lug wheels have the same rating. 3750 which is equivalent to a goodyear g614 at 110 psi but not quite as much as the Sailun S637 at 110 psi which is rated at 4080 .

Interesting- when I contacted them about my wheels they told me they were NOT rated to handle 110psi.

I just contacted tredit in Indiana this morning spoke to Adam and he confirmed that the TO2 wheels are rated at 110 PSI provided they are equipped with the correct valve stem. He proceeded to tell me that the only 16" 8 lug wheel that they sell that is not rated at 110 PSI is the TO3 wheel. Just an FYI for anyone out there interested in upgrading tires

That's good for you.......

What is needed to get valve stems that are correct and will fit your wheels?

Big O Tires installed the valve stems when they put the new Sailun's on....years ago.

I put G614's on my T02 Rims several years ago and the stems came from Advance auto parts. The type tire should not be a factor.

I went to autozone and purchased the two packs of short clamp in steel valve stems (rated for 150 psi) and ended up taking a craftsman 14mm. Chrome Deepwell socket and grinding it down so it would fit in the hole to tighten the nut . I could've waited and ordered a valve stem online that has a long shoulder on the nut part and then used a standard socket but I needed to get it done and had an extra socket to use. Also,I wanted to use the shortest stem available so my TPMS sensors didn't stick out too far. They are just inside of the side walls of the tire if I were to lay a straightedge across the tire face.
